I hate to rub it in Cubs fans faces, but at least in ruff times, we can reminisce on 2005 and how untouchable we were in the playoffs.. :D

She must've been singing loud and proud in Minneapolis last Tuesday night.
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share, his key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.

Obviously you do.. Maybe you should start a 2009 Minnesota Twins thread now so it might get to three pages by the end of next season. No need to keep bumping in the White Sox thread.

All that I ask, is that the Sox win ONE game this series.. please win tomorrow, so I can have bragging rights in the face of Cubs fans.. Not that we already won a World series in the last century.. :p

All we need is a miracle.

Time to get hot, White Sox. A three game winning streak is not out of the question.

There's nothing more beautiful than to see than the dejected faces of White Sox fans as their team is eliminated.

Well, I never expected both Chicago teams to be out this quick.
Good season southsiders. Maybe out teams will actually show up for the playoffs next year!

Windy City Series '09!!!! Sounds pretty good to me...

How are the White Sox the Yankees of the Midwest? We have what, 2 rings in the last hundred years and half the salary..

Green is not a color Twins' fans wear well. Watching the Twins stare into the pile of jubilant White Sox last Tuesday was oh so sweet.

Hats off to the Sox. The Rays are clearly the better team here, as the Sox potential maxed out with a division title. They have some nice pieces in place and with KW making the right moves, will clearly be a contender next year. A crappy end, but overall quite the sucessful season.

It was tough to watch the Rays celebrate on our home field. But frankcostanza is right, they were the better team and obviously deserved to win the series. We had chances in the first two games and just couldnt get the big hit when we needed it.

We gotta feel good about the future with the emergence of Quentin, Ramirez, Danks and Floyd. Let's hope Kenny can go out and get someone with speed to play 2B since Ramirez will almost for sure be moving over to SS. Not sure what he's going to do about 3B, but it should be an interesting off-season.

Someday, we'll go all the way...oh wait....we DID.

Fuck off Eddie, Billy, and Ron" I have no legs, pleaassssse let me in the hall of fame" Santo. At least we WON a game. Ozzie's 12-4 in the postseason while Sweet Lou is 0-6 when managing the cubs in the playoffs.

As Kenny once said, "Happy Anniversary"

That's great. It's hard to believe that the president of the USA is a White Sox fan.

Underrated???????? Yeah, he might give you 200 innings every year and never get hurt, but he is in now way underrated. He's a career .500 pitcher who shits his pants anytime a big game comes along. Thank god I never have to see him in a White Sox uniform again.

I'm just happy they got rid of Vasquez. God, he sucked under any pressure.
  • Was a White Sox fan for many years beginning in 1959. I have a photo of Nellie Fox in my workshop. One of the hardest players to strike out. Great glove.
