    That’s my girl!

It seems like most of the people in my area have small yappy dogs. The few medium-sized and big ones I come across…can’t resist the pets and licks!

They seem to be much friendlier than their tiny counterparts, too.

Disclaimer: Small-dog syndrome is a personal tic. No offense to the owners of same.

my theory is that a lot of owners of small dogs are overly protective of their dogs and the dogs don’t get properly socialized. piper loves all dogs of any size.

My family only had large dogs when o was growing up - mainly Collies. So I love big dogs as well. I am very partial to any dog in the shepherd family. If I had the space for a dog, my dream dog at the moment is the Belgian Tervuren.

I just looked them up…beautiful creatures!

My (and my husband’s) dream is to have a property large enough to have a bunch of dogs :)

    happy 15th, Bentley! :joy:

two nights ago, I left the house for an hour. when I returned, I found a half eaten loaf of bread on the floor. the bag clip had been removed, the inner cellophane (high dollar bread) had been opened and there wasn’t a crumb anywhere. winnie was my immediate suspect but my wife pointed out that piper is much more of a counter surfer. the jury was out on who was the guilty party…..until winnie pooped FIVE times on the next morning’s walk. I guess that mystery is solved.

The Thanksgiving welcome committee! Please boop both noses for me :)

  • Why, oh why, does this little guy have to wake me up at 5am during the week and 7am at weekends.... I'm so tired. Yesterday i had to sleep on the couch next to him, and this morning he needed walkies. I love the dog but why oh why?!?

Lol 😂 Reminds me of the time I popped in to the liquor store to grab a case of beer.  I wasn’t gone five minutes and I Came back to a car that smelled like fresh baked bread.  Maxine had eaten a whole loaf of fresh-baked French bread! Needless to say, I’ve learned to do the grocery shop last.

also, Happy 15th Bentley.  Max just celebrated six years since her “Gotcha” day.

Cats can be naughty like that as well. One time, before I could unload all the groceries my cat grabbed a 1/4 pound deli turkey package from the bag and ate the whole thing. He also once pulled a turkey burger out of my toaster oven when I left it sitting there to take a phone call and I found him eating it on the floor (he is very good at opening the toaster oven). The Worcestershire sauce I put on it did not agree with him to say the least. Sorry to hijack with a cat story - but they are all little rascals.
