I see a couple a week where I live. They typically don't want to fuck with people. Just can't leave the dogs unattended outside. It's probably 8 or 9 feet tall from the base on the other side of the wall, but I'm not taking any chances.

Absolutely. Adults, little kids, big dogs, little dogs, and pups. She loves the puppy socialization classes. They have a big German Shepherd they let out for the second half to patrol and keep them in line. I can see the gears turning like she wants to just jump on the thing. Our neighbor has a giant husky that throws her around like a rag doll and she loves it. Comes home covered in slobber.

That's great!  It's so true how when you have a rescue/mutt people volunteer all this info on what your dog might be.  Our latest rescue is some kind of shepherd mix - people come up and say, "Oh, he's got lots of lab."  Or, "I know he's a Belgian Malinois, you can tell."  

Maybe we'll do the DNA test.  Ha ha ha!

Marshall the dog and Jingles the cat have a love/hate relationship. Marshall LOVES her and she HATES him with the fire of a thousand suns. But they found a way to work together to make my daughter feel safe. My 12 y.o. thinks it's funny to call Marshall's name so he wags his tail and smacks Jingles, who in turn wags her tail because she is pissed off. But they both stay put. 
Marshall is resting his head on Dumbo, which I bought for her when I was 5 months pregnant and she has slept with it every night since (just turned 9).
