Sending good vibes from me and all the hounds. I seriously hope it's good news on Thursday.

.....big swollen lymph nodes in her neck.....the vet didn't give us much hope that it could be anything else....our sweet girl's 5th birthday is not until next month....we will get the lab results back by thursday.
your good thoughts and good vibes and prayers would be appreciated.
I’m an avid lurker of this thread and like many it’s easily my #1 favorite so I’ve been watching Gracie and the rest of the gang for a long time.
Last November I had the same experience as you with my male boxer, Bruno, in that I discovered a swollen lymph node that turned out to be lymphoma. Long story short, we opted for chemo and Bruno is in remission but the chemo continues (for now). In terms of knowledge about this stuff I started from scratch when this all started and we didn’t have a clue about this sort of thing. I’ve been in your shoes for where you are right now so I’d be happy to share with you my experiences so far.
I can’t tell you I have all the answers to your questions, and I’m far from a vet (although my neighbors ask me questions whenever their dog has an issue). I’m just a dog loving guy who considers these animals better than most humans so I try to do my part when I can. If you’re interested in just asking questions, whatever, shoot me a PM and I’ll give you my cell phone number and email.
I sincerely wish you guys the best of luck.

the news was not good.....stage III lymphoma. only good thing is they call it an "A" because gracie is healthy and happy for now. we are going to do the chemo....luckily, we can afford it....I guess this is why I've worked my whole life.
the protocol is chemo, 8 weeks of the first nine....then, every other week for another 4 months. 85-90% of dogs go into remission and the average "time bought" is one year....20% get another two years. I hope gracie tolerates this as well as her other chemo....she does not really like the vet and I hate that I have to take her every week (at first).
our hope is for remission and that gracie stays happy and not stressed/sick during the treatment. if she's stressed/sick, we will have some more hard decisions to make. after a year (or two!), the remission will end and it will probably be time to make the ultimate hard decision. I, obviously, don't even want to think about that. It's time to live for today...we are off to the park.
please keep us in your thoughts. If I had known then what I know now...
