 Hi Monty! Hi Petey! Thanks for brightening up an otherwise gray, rainy and dismal November afternoon at work boys!
Poor little Molly has started to lose her baby teeth. She was chewing on something the spat it out and there was the first one. It was tiny. Ahhhh, she's growing up.

The pics here always brings smiles so precious, dogs are the best of our world.
My daughter took in another stray this weekend. He came to her home.
She tried to take him to the local HS but it was full. She won't take him to Animal Control.
She's going to post flyers today in her area.
He is very thin, with bad teeth and he's missing an eye tooth so his tongue hangs out a bit. Lab shepherd type mix grey, black brown with a raccoon striped tail. We think he's an older dog then. Very cute and very sweet. I fear it will now be 7 doggies at my house when we all get together, 6, three days a week when I watch her's. She has trouble looking the other way when it comes to strays. Maybe it was meant to be.
I must admit, I'm looking forward to meeting him

Django is quite the "reader" even though he's nearly 8 years old, so it can't be blamed on puppyhood. He's also multilingual, having chewed off the covers of my German dictionary a few years back, then the covers of my prince's Spanish dictionary just recently. Other recent acquisitions have been magazines and part of Glenn's MG club newsletter. A few days ago Glenn heard a thunk and found a new book that my sister had given me on the floor. It's called A Dog's Purpose and is written from a dog's perspective. Maybe Django wanted to see how accurate it was.

Poor Sailor. He has a hot spot on his right cheek and it looked awful on Monday morning, so Mr. Unlost brought him to the vet while I was at work.
And now he's a conehead.
He keeps clunking into stuff, can't get up the stairs, needs some help going down. Can't drink water unless we hold a small bowl for him. But he's such a good boy, his tail keeps wagging. When he gets stuck, like in a corner or a doorway, he just stands there.
Mr. Unlost let them all out in the yard, and then wasn't thinking and went up the stairs to enter the house via the second-floor deck door. Sweet Pea and Tessie came along, but no Sailor. So he called him, but he didn't come. Mr. Unlost went over to the stairs, and Sailor was stuck on the bottom of the step with his cone caught on a higher step and his head down. He was just standing there quietly, slowly wagging his tail, waiting patiently for someone to come and help.
This, I should remind you, is the same dog who is so fast on agility courses that he literally spins in leaping circles waiting for me to catch up and direct him to the next obstacle. He's completely insane on a course, but a totally different dog in any other circumstance.
My poor boy! The hot spot looks so much better today, really drying up nicely. We're going to keep him in the collar until we're convinced it's healed to the point that he can scratch his face without opening it up again.
Damn fleas. For 15 years we've had dogs, and never treated them with any flea or tick prevention other than an herbal spray for ticks when we're traveling to tick-infested areas. Came home from a show last month and Sailor was hosting an army of fleas. None on the girls, but everybody was treated and my God the amount of work it takes to get the house sorted out! Wow.
The hot spot is likely a reaction to a flea bite. Now everyone is on Frontline, and I think I'll end up doing it year round.
awww poor sailor...i had to put norm in a lamp shade once and it lasted for all of 12 hours...nothing sadder than seeing a dog in one of those though...but i can't help but laugh a little when they bump into things and get stuck and just sit there and wait....i love dogs!

Lock both of them in the trunk of your car for an hour...when you go to get them out see which one is happy to see you...
