Great comeback by Calgary last night.
The hit by sarich on Marleau was brutal.clean and brutal.
Give Marleau credit,he popped up like a true Canadian.

Has that been the guy the Flames have targeted all series ?

Or was he just caught in a rough stretch of hits ?

He didn't back down he stood right up

holy shit that was a great come-back last night by the Flames, down 3-0 4 minutes into the game

nice to see CuJo come in and shut down the Sharks and get the 1st star of the game

huge mistake by the Sharks by taking the foot off the pedal and loosing that game, this team is missing something, and I think it starts with Thorton not having a killer instinct.

Sarich hit was great, clean hit I thought as well, easily

Nolan's game winning goal was sweet as well, Naby was pissed with the comeback and Thorton blocking him I think

that "WOO" from the PA annoucer after the Bruins score is hilarious, and then the crowd does it right back, great addition to the announcing of a goal

Love how Chara was booed by the Canadien fans in Boston last night, ha

    lets go devils!

honestly im an islanders fan but i absolutely hate the rangers. once theyre out i just want to see good games.

its very unfortunate though that hockey is not as popular as the other big sports. i dont know anyone else that is following the playoffs. all my friends are too much into baseball- i fond time for both.

I agree, doesn't seem like Thornton is just going through the motions on a lot of shifts ?

That hit was awesome...I love how Calgary plays

I was a little surprised Keenan didn't go back to Kiprusoff after he pulled him

Yeah, the Flyers attempted that style earlier and took some bad hits and suspensions.....but since then they have played more physical but in control

    Well he is the captain.
But the flames have been targeting Joe Thornton, playmaking specialist.
    And it's working.

  • Sens-Pens pretty entertaining so far tonight, but mostly for all the wrong reasons.

First the game starts with the stupidest introduction i've seen. An out of shape gladiator/roman walks in front of the Senators players, who clearly wish they could wear their helmets to cover their faces, the gladiator steps on the ice and deliveres a motivational speech with a broken mic and the words of the speech written behind his shield. Great stuff.

During intermission Don Cherry talks about Marc Savard's obsession with his stick and tells the "kids out there" to: " go and get your stick, take it to the bedroom, love it , stroke it..."
    Ron McLean ends it with
"I'm going to bed with my Sher-Wood tonight"

just watched the Preds put 2 by Hasek in 9 seconds ... and take game three.

again, playoff hockey is the best.

fuck, you can't sit on a 1 goal lead in the third period when you're on the road, you have to go for it, get the 2 goal lead, and then sit on that.

Detroit dilly-dallied from about the 13 minute mark on, and really dumped and backed off from the 9 minute mark

the 4th goal was a brutal defensive change on the face-off, argh

Hope they learn their lesson for game 4 and the rest of the play-offs

NO COMPLACENCY with a 1 goal lead for the remaining 15 minutes of the 3rd period

The Avalanche look old. 3 straight OT games can't be good for Old Man Joe Saklick and Grandpa Petey Foreskin. The Wild skated circles around those geezers by the end of the game.

How good is Backstrom, heh? Solid. By the way, VS is the shit. 10 pm start time is not. Until tonight, good night from sunny FL.

I guess the Avs can sit their "old guys" when they have a 5 goal lead going into the 3rd period?! What a difference a day makes... You can have Backscum, he's garbage. We got a Best of 3 series now. Let's see if the Mild can CHOKE 2 years in a row!

    Hehe, that's cool.

I hope he doesn't later start smoking or not answering his phone if the school principal calls...

Kipper didn't answer or return calls to Team Finland GM Jari Kurri about the upcoming World Championships. Finally he made his agent tell that he's not available. Wasn't surprised about the not coming part (during last World Cup he was in Hawaii), but thought it was funny he didn't even bother to answer the phone and tell it himself, since Kurri got his job mostly because "he has the respect of every Finnish player and knows how to deal with them" and now our best (?) player doesn't even answer his calls.

Backscum? the Mild? Wow, someone still seems a little bitter the Wild beat the Avs in the playoffs a few years back.
