Well if they landed with a different team they might still be around, but they got you and you guys had them solved since day 1.

    not to sure about that

they had no #1 center (we took him :) )

and they lost their #1 d-man

paul martin is good ,,,but lets not get to crazy over him

    True enough.
Should be interesting if (hopefully) you guys play the Pens.

My team has always been the Canadiens (well, since '86 when I started following hockey), and I've suffered through the likes of John Kordic, Claude Lemieux, Darcy Tucker, Chris Chelios. These guys are all knuckleheads for one reason or another, and their actions have been tough to stomach on occasion. But Avery takes it to another level.

As a former hockey player, I personally found it funny what he did to Brodeur in the last series. And I know no harm was intended...he was just trying to throw Marty off his game, which he may have done. Despite all that, it's still a trashy move, on par with things like diving for a call, or flipping off the crowd that pays your salary. (Avery? yes, he's done all that)

As for Brodeur, sure it was tasteless, but when you have a future hall of famer being mocked by a fringe player...you can understand where he's coming from. Avery, on the other hand, is the instigator for unsportsmanship...no one knows where he's coming from. He's a known racist, and he likes to make fun of people that have cancer. He's trash, and if he did play for Montreal, I'd boo every time he touched the puck.

I'm going for the Flames cause they're Canadian, but I don't really care about the West until the final round (I did enjoy seeing Anaheim bounced early and easily).

I'm not saying we're going to walk all over Philly, I'm just saying our odds are probably better against them then the Rags, who have our number.

Rygar. the Habs have the perfect matchup.
Rangers would have given them fits.
Lundqvist is a much better goalie than Biron.
"they don't give a shit Keith Moon is dead,
is that exactly what I thought I read?"

Police say it was organized arsonists who just used the crowd as a cover. See the link I posted in the Habs' thread - I suspect they think it's the same people.

And the people who were out and NOT destroying shit (the majority) are turning in all kinds of vids and photos to the authorities.

    MY DAILY REF RANT

i know it happens but the 2nd goal was a joke

yes calls go against both tems and what not

but how the kcuf does the ref not see the cap dman getting pushed into the goalie yes the flyer shoved him on purpose into the goalie

its clear as day right in front of him ??

my biggest concern is that the cup is gonna be decided on a horrible call

There were a ton of blown calls in that Philly-Caps game last night on both sides.
Shoddy reffing hasn't stopped with the arrival of the post-season, I'm afraid.

every series and calls go against every team

forget the teams for a minute and just look at the play lol

i mean cmon ??? its clear as fricking day

and the front ref 's only job at that moment was to be watching those 2 players?? how do u miss that?

again im afraid the cup is gonna be decided on a bullshit call

Unless it is a 1-goal game, the odds are against it.
I'd like to say they'd either crack down 100% or let everything go for the final, but I said that for the first round, too, and it didn't happen...

good chance most of the games will be tight

and dont forget every game is tied at one point during the game lol

it could be a horrible call in the 1st period

True, but bad calls aren't anything new, so we can't get into the ol' "we lost cause of the refs" argument, cause every team ('cept Ottawa) can use that line at the moment. Oh well I guess we can get into that argument, but the point is we ALL can.

they have no problem making money off of him ,but criticize his every move

oh and lets see if marty gives back his share of the profits
because every player makes money on anything sold

So who else is happy that the Flames were eliminated....and damn I am only a month away from moving to Calgary would love to be around all the whining right now.

Single handedly destroyed by a washed up (maybe not yet) old grumpy veteran...but I give JR props he was Mr. Clutch tonight and good on him.
