J, you know I'm in! I'll be seeing you at MSG. Hopefully bathey can join us to! Lets drop the puck and play some fucking hockey ey!!!!!
yea man...lockout is forgotten already
i really do think we should get the NHL package for free ..that would be a nice step in the "sorry " process
center ice should be heavily discounted....prorated it woul be $100....anything more than 50 and i'm skipping it this year.
agreed.the NHL package should be free.
I'll only be focused on the east Conference anyway.
Appears the East Conference has the advantage with no time change travel for the 48 game schedule, while the west is more spread out and they need to bounce in and out of different time zones.
Another good sign for our Blueshirts.
Oh and I really am looking forward to seeing these again-
Read: The Cap Situation For This Season/Wade Redden
January 8th, 2013 12:48 pm
12:47PM: Craig Custance tweets that the Rangers are meeting with Wade Redden’s agents today to help try and clarify his future.
12:28PM: According to Cap Geek, based on some new rules in the CBA, the Rangers will be charged with a cap hit of $5.6 million for Wade Redden even if he accepts a demotion to the Whale.
With Redden on the cap and without Michael Del Zotto signed, Cap Geek has the Rangers with $5.34 million in available cap space for this season.
Redden could refuse the demotion, forfeit the remaining two years on his contract and become a free agent.
It is also expected that the Rangers could sign Matt Gilroy to an NHL contract, he is currently on an AHL contract with the Whale.
They are also reportedly looking at bringing in another depth forward according to Larry Brooks.

Henrik Lundqvist has arguably never had a bad season and while the upcoming campaign might not be the exception, it wouldn’t shock him if it took him some time to find his groove.
The New York Rangers goaltender didn’t play in Europe during the work stoppage and he won’t get to participate in any exhibition contests before the season starts. With that in mind, rust could be a factor.
“To reach your top limit, I think you need a couple [preseason] games,” he said, according to Newsday. “You can’t expect yourself to go out and play your absolute best if you haven’t played for eight months. You get a week or something, but no games, so it’s definitely going to be a challenge.
“I’m not going to lie, I don’t feel great out there . . . I’m going to put pressure on myself to get back as soon as possible, but at the same time, you need to have a little patience, too. I don’t think my game’s going to be perfect right away.”
The players that found work during the lockout might be at an advantage early on and we might be in for some high scoring games as many goaltenders in particular adjust on the fly.

torts should be intersting with this
We al know how Tortorella likes to scramble up the lines.
I like to spread them out just a little differently.
It will be interesting to see Torts juggling for the first few games.
Wins will be at a premium, I hope they can string togtehr a bunch of "W"s

That effort begins today. There will be outreaches, campaigns and efforts that will be made clear as we get closer to dropping the puck. The NHL is not anticipating any franchise relocation. It's a 10-year agreement, one that will stand the test of time. The CBA should guarantee future success of NHL hockey for many years to come. The strong leadership of the union will help build trust, which can only happen over time. It's time to turn the page and look forward as quickly as possible. In collective bargaining, not everyone gets what they want. No schedule will be released until the CBA has been ratified by players(Saturday)."

I didnt realize coach Tortorella wasnt allowed to be on the ice until the CBA is signed and a done deal .
Theyve got the head coach from NYU, Cosentino, handling the practices.
Aparently he is friends with Torts, and theyve worked together before.
from Brooks today: Michael Del Zotto remains unsigned following three days of talks between his camp and management. The defenseman, who has been on the ice for the informal workouts, will not be permitted to participate in camp until he is under contract.
It appears Wade Redden will sit out the season at home at the Rangers’ request in order to ensure he does not get hurt and thus jeopardize the planned postseason compliance buyout of the final year of his contract.
