I really seriously didn't know how good Leetch was until he played for the Leafs, and i could just imagine how good he was in his prime.

no one ever kept the puck in at the blueline like he did

out of mid-air,,with his skates or hands ,,any way possible no one was better

interestingly enough his 1st ever goal was scored on a breakaway

Never was at a venue with that kind of crowd noise before and haven't been to one since and that includes concerts.

But as loud as it was in the beginning, it was the opposite once it got to 3-2 in the third period.

great goal, messier gets past bure, draws two defenders, dishes to leetch. leetch finds the open net from the right circle, 1-0 rangers..

    what a night.

    i mustve tasken 1000 photos.

Graves # 9 , next year ( maybe theyll get the first # 9 Bathgate to appear like they did the first # 2 Brad Park for Leetchies ) ? Oh Baby !

great to see the xman again, thats like 2-2 for me seeing him at my last 2 Rain-j'ah games ( the other being the sweeper at the Garden last year in the playoffs for game 4 against this same atlanta team )

the ceremony was beautiful, emotional, and even better then the prior 2 that i witnessed, but fellas this game was pretty tight to watch for the entire night. ugh, cant these guys do anything easy ?

    almost double the shots ( 33-18 ) , and its only 1-1 ?

only 2 shots on the 5-0n-3 PP ? wtf ?

Can somebody please get near the front of the fucking net , anytime now fellas,.... and shoot the fucking puck already ! enough with the endlesss , tenacious cycling along the boards (should be bored-s ) , back behind their netminder, then back to the other side and do it all over again ,.....all night,....

the way they were playing until the third, 1-0 felt a little like 2-0. they are now 2-3-0 on the five retirement nights and each win has been in overtime.

renney had a real funny quote when asked about this and adam graves getting his night next season:

"I'm glad we're retiring Gravy's number next season,. maybe we'll get nine (goals)."

and nice touch by the fans for booing dolan.

when leetch was playing, he listed pearl jam as his all time favorite band in his bio on newyorkrangers.com. and i think i remember seeing leetch's name appear as a celebrity spotting at some shows in the past on fivehorizons.com.

    guess they are buds!

ps- the viewing party rocked! lot of special guests on stage, signed tons of autographs... very cool! tie domi is hilarious.
