    Forgot this one: http://www.drunkenbleachers.com/blog/images/041507.jpg

Nice to see the Yanks continue to say no to teams asking about The Three Young Guns Hughes, Chamberlain, and Kenedy.

Sounds like the Rockies actually want Farnsworth, but they want the Yanks to pay most of his salary. The Yanks don't want to pay unless Colorado makes a better offer of what player/s they would send to the Yanks.

Yanks have been mentioned in a lot of rumors so maybe we will see them do something, but I don't think it'll be anything too big. They were one of several teams scouting the Astros. The Stros have several utiltiy type players and they also have Brad Lidge and some guy named Oswalt though I don't think they would deal him unless they get some good young players in return.

When is the non waiver trade deadline? Anyone know?

yesterday i was watching the news and the reporters last name was farnsworth. I remarked, finally someone with the last name farnsworth doing something productive...

to make room, tyler clippard and chase wright were demoted to AA.

that seems a little unfair. going back down to AA won't benefit either of them, and they're both pitching better than ross ohlendorf and steven jackson.

hopefully it's just temporary so that hughes and karstens can get a few AAA starts. hughes is pitching tonight...

there hasn't been a productive farnsworth since they cancelled futurama, and even that was debatable.

Hughes pitched a good game tonight for Scranton. Something like 6IP 2H 0ER 7k 1BB.

I read the other day that Hughes wanted last night to be his last start before rejoining the Yanks, but that there would probably be one more game in Scranton after that. Sounds like he's really itching to pitch in NY. I like that enthusiasm.

Giambi hopes to join the Yanks next week. He starts a minor league rehab assignment in Tampa Friday night. This throws a big monkeywrench into the lineup. Damon has started to hit and I think you have to play Melky every day. Phillips has been dynamite since being called up and the Giambino is a problem in the field. Having an extra bat when the playoffs (that we hopefully will be a part of) roll around is one thing, but right now I think his return may cause more problems than it will help the team. It's not like he was hitting when he went down with the injury. The team is playing so well right now and I hate to see something throw them outa whack.

    16 - 6 in July

4.5 games back in the Wild Card race and 4 in the loss column

Re: Philips, very nice. Igawa needs to go run off somewhere else.
Re: Giambi...I hope they don't feel an obligation to call him up. Andy's doing great, hitting OK, playing great defense. He's clearly the best option right now.
Jason has been a shadow ever since the 03 series...we don't need him at all.
