    I'm on a mission now to somehow find some meaning in the upcoming season, and make it nice for my sons. I am no longer doing anything for family outside of them, except my wonderful Mother. I'm starting today...buying a wreath for the front door.

    Thanks.....I'm feeling better already....people can only take advantage of me if I let them, and for the last decade I have...I'm done. I don't care if everyone is upset or hurt....I'm hurt and upset and have been for the last 11 TGs, and none of them seem to care. I am no longer going to be the caretaker of all the losers.

    I have to avoid malls this time of year because of my anxiety. It goes through the roof in crowded, indoor spaces. I had a bad one 3 years ago and havent gone during the holiday season since. I had to call the husband to come find me and i really didn't even know where i was. :(
    So the holidays are happy for me.
    I do my shopping at smaller stores or online or I knit someone a scarf.
    I understand what you are saying.
    But I will be there to look at the tree. :o

    Now see, you are going against your own idea of what you would like the holidays to be. Don't you think? A scarf that i made comes from the heart.

    I am ok outdoors..and I go at off times, like 2 in the am.
