Dunkman, you're wasting your time. A lot of the people posting here are on the same page as you, and can see where you are coming from. The funny thing is, i get that you are not advocating that all guns should be banned. All you are saying is it would be a start if they could acknowledge that too many people die from gunshot wounds and there is a problem. It's not rocket science that what you are saying is true.

You will never be able to debate logically with someone who admits to buying guns for spite.

i know... its now reached the lets insult each other stage.

although i have to confess i'm both Scottish and World Insult Champion ;):D

i know this... we are violent people. if you yankee pussies didnt have your guns and it was one on one.. we'd fuck you up every time... but we dont need guns, we're crazy enough.. and we'd fuck you up wearing skirts... thats how hard we are ;):D

    Bring it. ;)
but i acknowledge the violence problem in Scotland

And I acknowledge there is a violence problem in the US.
The United States has the highest male teen homicide rate in the industrialized world (23.0 per 100,00 among males aged 15 to 19 in 1996).31 A 1997 study that compared firearm death rates in 26 industrialized countries among children less than 15 years old found that the firearms homicide rate among U.S. children was nearly 16 times higher than the rate among children in the other 25 industrialized countries combined.32 In 1996 the rate of firearms homicide was highest among males aged 20 to 24 (30.3 per 100,0000)—more than five times the firearms homicide rate for all Americans (6.0 per 100,000).33

    Ain't nothin' but a G thang! Literally.

I admit I have not read every page of this but I wonder if Scotland has the crime of the States.

Personally I'd live in Russia unarmed, before I would live in the States unarmed. I'm not sure of the demographics of Scotland but in Illinois they are already seeing members of MS-13 around. We really don't have any control over anyone except the people that obey the laws. I'm also not going to wait for the cops to show up if I had to call them. I'd have a better chance on getting a pizza faster.

Scotland tops list of world's most violent countries

A UNITED Nations report has labelled Scotland the most violent country in the developed world, with people three times more likely to be assaulted than in America.

Ted Nugent has done more to help feed the homeless and provide assistance for wounded troops than Obama Christ has ever done. He has more than made up for sins of the past. I have yet to see him lose a debate to boot! The guy knows his stuff.

who yearn to kill? sounds like something a spokesman for a suicide bombing terror group would say. but those people are bad as they yearn to kill americans/british. but killing your own people... well thats good!! yearning to kill your own soldiers, countrymen would appear to be a positive trait. its no wonder recruitment figures for the forces are down... they are scared they might be killed by their own citizens most likely.

i dont live under the thumb of oppression, which shows me you know nothing of the country i live in, and my own attitude towards violence would probably surprise you. However, i see something wrong with the fact that 30,000 people die each year in your country as a result of a gun... thats wrong... 4 kids under the age of 15 die per day because of a handgun, mostly through accident or suicide... thats wrong.

What I meant was that you would retain your views on violence even in the event that you were faced with those circumstances. So, no, I don't think people in Scotland are oppressed other than in the sense that they're prevented from owning certain firearms.

Kids die every day from drinking draino, but that doesn't mean we should stop unclogging our drains. Parents need to be more responsible in terms of how they store their firearms. Eventually that statistic will greatly diminish.
