What's the TRUTH on Obama??

I work with some right wing assholes so, of course, they like to print stuff from the internet and leave it lying around. After seeing what Karl Rove did to Kerry the last time around, I'm very afraid of how this whole "unpatriotic Muslim" thing could be manipulated in regard to Obama. Even after 8 disastrous years with Bush, I'm beginning to believe Americans could be gullible enough to elect another Republican :(

So anyway, two questions:

Is Obama, by any stretch of the imagination, Muslim? Has he ever been?

Does Obama not salute the flag; hold his hand over his heart, etc.? It wouldn't really bother me but I think it would be political suicide. My right wing "buddies" have printed some pictures which seem to show Obama "dissing" the flag.

If they can make Kerry look like a traitor and make Bush a patriot, I shudder to imagine the smear job they could throw on Barack!

I believe he went to a madrassa at a very early age. Think back to when you were seven, did you get to choose where you went to church. Right now he is a Christian, not that that should matter.

You are right, it would be political suicide. He does salute the flag. I'm sure you saw the picture from Iowa where he didn't, but that's long been debunked.

If you don't want another Republican in office next January, you might want to consider Obama.

All of this shit has already been put to bed. (obama was sworn in on his family Bible, actualy LEADS the pledge on the senate floor and has never been a muslim (what the fuck difference does it make anyway)). If thecrepublicans were to try to use this dead line of shit they would only embarass themselves.

Basically his supporters will tell you he is going to solve everything, create "change", and perhaps cure cancer on the side in his spare time.

the fact of the matter is that he's obeys and fully supports the whims of Isreal, and knows his place accordingly. Israel wants to bomb the crap out of Iran more than anything else in the world right now (and for some time to come until they finally do)

Do the math.

People who say Ron Paul has a good message are demonized and call lunatics because a republican can;t actually be a good person for some reason even if they are actually a good person.

Go figure...bombing Iran and fully supporting the people who want to, seems pretty sane no doubt.

It's a lot bigger the Barack and his grand ideas of peace, and he's seriously kidding himself (and a lot of other people) thinking he can play in their game and not pay their price at the end of the night when the bill arrives.

Obomba will be Obombing (Iran) when the time comes a calling (directly or indirectly through $$$). The money will be there to support it, because Obama supports Israel 100%. He's in bed, and sooner or later he's gonna told to roll over and be on the bottom.

Hillary would be worse though. Gravel would be a wasted vote. sadly... Kucinich is gone. that leaves one guy that will choose a peaceful route. The only republican talking peace with a significant dose of humanitarian common sense that will not lead into perpetual war for the next 100 years....Ron Paul.

Where's the money and support coming from? He's already openly supported it in spite of. Ever wonder why Ron Paul says he will end aid to Israel? Well...Not Barack, he supports Israel 100% in every way. A war mongering racist cabal just like the neo-cons. Barack says thumbs up to that.

Your "educate yourself" theory is getting quite old too. I have yet to run into any serious Moving Train posters who were not well informed and educated on the topics being discussed. We've all formed our own opinion and made up our mind. I'm sure you think you've done ten fold the research that we have, and maybe you have. However, to talk down to people like you are above us all in knowledge to the political process is beyond funny---no matter what your bell charts on the Ron Paul forum say.

That would be dead wrong. You have (had) Kucinich and Gravel. The rest are war candidates either directly or not.

I'm getting the growing impression America is essentially fucked. It's people aren't going to figure it out in time, and the media has done it's job only too well.

Ron Paul? I hate to admit it but I can't even consider him because he can't win. The Republicans will never nominate him and (as things now stand) an Independent can't win either. All an Independent can do (ala Nader) is siphon enough resonable people's votes away so that we're left with Bush. I don't like it but I can't see how we are ever going to keep the people with all the money from deciding who has all the power. It's shaping up to be another awful election....

As time goes on, it's appears (unfortunately) fortunate that I'm not. Time is the deciding factor here. You'll come back and see what I'm saying.... I hope not though. It's been that way with everyone for me for the past three years, and that's a lot of I told you so's

the problem is that he follows radical websites with mushroom cloud doomsday scenarios as fact. when in fact there is no proof. alex jones mentality type of stuff. quite scary. someone should tell him that any 16 year old with html skills can make a website.

3 examples he holds as fact.

1. planes didnt hit the WTC. it was a media illusion.
2. the US government sprays a toxin mist (chemtrails) over its citizens to keep us in line.
3. the US has set a date to nuke Iran.
