im saying the people who flew the planes were trained in afghanistan with the blessing of the taliban.

im saying george bush and his administration pushed for the iraq war and thus are reponsible for its consequences.

i agree with the second part... but not to sure about the first part... some of them recieved training right here in Florida.

i would vote for him if he could start speaking the truth..and who knows we may have to wait until he is nominated by the democrats... but he needs to makie it clear or he doesnt stand a chance
I can't really admit that, because I think he has been pretty clear. Move troops out of the combat zones in Iraq, leave security for the Embassy, then move more troops into Afghanistan and friendly zones that are already in the Middle East.

He answers questions about this when asked, and talks about it in speeches. What's unclear?

Dude...come on. You're making it tough to have a logical debate with. They were trained here with monies provied by Al Quaeda.

after they had been taught how to get flight classes and secure visas in afghanistan.

I think that's a bullshit story created by Bushco to convince a bunch of hillbillies to support the war.

They don't have flight training in Saudi Arabia? They need the expertly trained Cessna prop plane crowd in podunk FL to train terrorists to fly a 747 into a building?

If it works for you great. smells like bullshit to me.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... yep, you guessed it delusional...

You think the 70% of the American public wants a defined detailed strategy for the middle east? No, they dont, most of them have no idea what a "defined detailed strategy in the middle east" means. They want us out of Iraq. The economy can only benefit from this. Obama will continue to make the points that...

    1. The continued occupation of Iraq creates more hostility towards the US.

    2. The 11 million every 10 minutes it costs us to be over there is having a negative effect on our economy.

Contrast these will "cancer cheek's" idea of perpetual war and the economy will be fine.

You really think McBush is going to resonate with the American people more than Obama? You really think that McBush can bring NEW people to the process that are going to enjoy the taste of his bullshit? Really?

He's 117 years old & conservatives hate him.

The only reason that Bush won in 2004 is because of the conservative/evangelical voter turnout, and the fact that he was running against a candidate that no one could get excited about. This time around it's the opposite.

Let Obama keep spouting his quasi-socialist "share the wealth" shit, and conservatives will think McCain is Rush fuckin' Limbaugh.

Seriously, the more I hear from Obama, the more he scares the holy hell out of me. Heard one estimate that said when Obama (or, let's be fair, Hillary) repeals the tax cuts, you can expect a family that makes $50,000 to pay $2,000 more in taxes next year.

That's me. I'm "the rich," apparently. Next year, I'm going to have to find an extra two grand to redistribute to people who didn't earn it. That's just fucking great. Most nations have bloody rebellions to AVOID implementing this kind of socialist bullshit, and we're going to vote it into office.

Anyway, I've got a nasty cold and I feel like shit. Maybe that's making me grumpier than normal.

Wrong, the vast majority of nations pay far more income tax than Americans do. 50% income tax is not an uncommon number in a lot of countries. Granted they get health care and like 8-10 weeks of vacation but you take the good with the bad I suppose.

and what exactly makes you think that McCain is honest? Because he is a war hero?...because he has a "strategy"? I see him doing the same thing Bush did, and that's sucking our dicks to get in office, and once he has it, he'll once again make dumb ass decisions. This country needs change, and I don't feel confident at all that McCain can provide it...he's jsut a feeble old man following in the steps of an 8 year jackass streak. What do you mean, wrong? I don't give a crap how much income tax people in other nations pay. If the average worker in (insert country here) has to give half his salary to the government, then I feel sorry for him.

Seriously, Obama is going to take money out of our pockets, while the country is in a recession. Explain to me how that's a wise idea?

Again, I'm trying to avoid "Rovian scare tactics" but I can't shake the belief that Obama is totally naive and unprepared for the big office. Maybe I'm wrong. And since it looks like he's going to be the guy, I hope I am. But I'm afraid he's going to be totally overwhelmed by this gig.

And for those who would say, "Well, nothing can be worse than Bush." What if you're wrong?

I would like to do better than "at least he's better than Bush."

Oh, I know where the joke begins. The joke begins by wanting to go on some glorious journey by choosing the car with a shiny coat of paint and a busted engine v.s. the opposite.

It's spraying perfume on a turd. Nothing personal about the guy (Obama) and I'm not calling him a turd, except that he is aloof to the reality of the federal reserve. Without that approach foremost, change is impossible, yet he seems to think otherwise like living in some fairytale reality, and so do the foolish people that follow the reasoning and the process.

No, I'm choosing the car that I have personally test drove before it was out the market for the masses. The car that I worked with and got to know and am comfortable with.

Now go ahead, call me a blinded by the media or a sheep. That's all you have. I think my above statement proves that your theory does not apply here.

Whatever you say. I hold reservation on your personal epiphany. Starstruck might be a better explanation.

Obama comedown syndrome is going to be a hard pill for you to swallow when the time comes.

edit: I should add, I'd like to see the time machine you fabricated that allows you to test drive the future of the world before it occurs. Sounds more like pre-conceived daydreaming to me.

Yeah, what the fuck do I know I was only worked for the Illinois Senate. I guess I was just daydreaming that commercial shoot I organized for then State Senator Obama in my hometown.

The difference between you and I Roland is that I get out and do the work on political campaigns. I've been on every level of a political campaign from the very bottom working for free to managing campaigns. You on the other hand spew bullshit on a bands message board about candidates for President, when you yourself vote for a Prime Minister.

That's great I can see you're biased quite readily towards Obama saving the world for you. You are smitten by him, and the possibilities of what he might be able to accomplish if that were at all possible given the circumstances of his approach.

Says the guy who thought Ron Paul would be an effective President and get things in DC. If you think Paul would get more done than Barack Obama, or any other candidate still standing, than you are crazy.

History also shows that once in a generation a figure like Obama starts a movement in US Presidential politocs. So far those Presidents have been judged postively by history...JFK and good old Jelly Beans in the early 80's.

Obama knows which side his bread is buttered on. He might get some validity if he actually said boo about the federal reserve once or twice. Until then it's all just shiny words that some people want so desperately to hear. Playing along within the institution while talking about being outside of it.

edit: next time you;re at the clubhouse having drinks with him or whatever it is that you purportedly do in your personal time/exposure with him. Ask him some good hard questions on the federal reserve, and post his answers back here. That would be very interesting to see at the outset.
