And I am saying this as a liberal woman.
Ugh.
The irony of this was that I was listening to one of my liberal democrat inlaws saying that if Gov Palin had been at home being a mother instead of governing a state, then maybe this wouldn't happen. I heard that sentiment echoed on tv as well. I was in disbelief that this is being said by people who are politically liberal, but I guess some are so eager to criticize the opposing team that anything will be and can be said.
The thread title is hilarious, however.Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?0 -

even if you're technically correct, you're really saying that being a governor of the least populated state for less than one term qualifies her to be president more than joe biden who was in service for this country when Juno's mom was in high school.
either way, doesn't wash. sorry
Why does everyone say Alaska is the least populated state? It's not. It has a larger population than Vermont and I don't think any Dems had questions regarding Screaming Howard Dean's experience as a governor from a small state in 2004.- Busted down the pretext

I know. Or liberal women saying with a straight face that it is irresponsible of her to run with 5 kids at home, one of them a special need child, and that they would instead be taking care of them.
And fine, the title of this thread is both offensive and hilarious.... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0 -

Seeing that the federal government owns 60% of all land in Alaska. Being the mayor of a village and governor of 40% of nothing makes for real qualifying executive leadership skills, kinda like Alice Fisher or former mayor Marion Barry.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. I wouldn't go that far.
It's just Alaska had been a red state every election it's been eligible to vote in except 1964.
Just like how no one campaigns in Hawaii because it's gone blue every year its been eligible except 1972 and 1984.- Busted down the pretext

Sorry.. but executive experience in no way is more beneficial than what legislative experience can give.
Sarah Palin's "extensive executive experience" was the mayor of a town that consists of no more than 9,000 people.. sorry, I lived in a town that size for years.. the mayor's position was a part time job. I hardly think she was making huge "executive" decisions in the great metropolitan area of Northen Exposure-ville.
She has been govenor, in office, for 16 months. If you think this qualifies someone for the position of vice president than your standards are questionably low.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Couldn't disagree more.
Executive experience is when the buck stops with you. You are the ultimate decision maker...there's no voting "Present".hippiemom = goodness0 -
I don't care if you are the mayor of Bumblefuck, Alaska or a 8 time senator from the most populated state in the union, nothing prepares you for being the President unless you already served in that capacity before. All this talk about Obama's inexperience, didn't hear to many Republicans bitching about that when Bush ran, or Palin executive experience, running a town of 9,000 people and a state of 600,000 is not even in the same league as running an entire country. It's all bullshit diversionary tactics so these 4 fuck wads don't have to address real issue. And anyone who eats this crap up deserves the shitty representation we are about to elect come November."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0

Even a mayor's decision can be overturned by a city council vote. A governor's decision can be negated by a State referendum vote. A board of directors can override a CEO of a company. Sometimes that old 'buck stops here' is just a grand illusion.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is true. A governor still has to get his or her plans approved by the state legislature."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0

You had me on facts, (you're right, it's the third least populated) you didn't need the petty little dig.
Dean "screamed" 1 time at a rally for supporters (they isolated his mic, btw) then played it 400,000,000 times.
conservative character asassination at it's best.
it's one of the reason Palin is fair game.0 -

If we're splitting hairs, Dean was governor for ten years in comparison to twenty months from Palin's end. Just saying.0
