Anaheim. Now THERE'S a Hockey Town.

    :D

Face it, the Rangers and Rangers' fans have been the life's blood of the NHL........for 40 years. There's no greater fanbase and no greater hockey town!

Well living in Alberta it is always nice to see intelligent and cute women moving to the province....and lol very original with the maritimes move....where I am at there are hardly anyone from Alberta originally...mostly from the east and like myself from Saskatchewan...also something you will notice in Calgary...as soon as they start losing be prepared to see the band-wagon empty at the drop of a hat....

The one thing this province has is jobs that pay well....however be prepared to see the reality of what the cost of living is....but its great if you have a place to stay already....damn I was looking at maybe getting a condo in Calgary something decent (beside a C-train station would be ideal) and for 669 square feet it would cost me $600,000....I almost fell over.....but Calgary is a great city and I love going there on my company's bill....I think you will love it....so much to do with the mountains right next door....and hey your only 2.5 hrs away from seeing the best team in Alberta play hockey!

Well I am a true Oilers fan but I do like to cheer for a team during the playoffs and as you know for a good number years that just wasn't us :o Anyway yeah I could use the change of scenery and my cousin broke up with her boyfriend and bought him out of the house so I am sure I could live with her. She offered before.

If I do I am coming up for a game for sure.. prljamgirl, you, earthgirl, me.. and Cree and whoever else should have a gathering :D

By that logic, the Isles, Rangers, Devils, and Flyers are all the same team! And maybe Capitals.

Well I assure you that you will enjoy living in Cowtown...

No I have not been yet and I can't WAIT so yes we shall get together. I have only ever been to two NHL games... :o

I just found out my contract is renewed until at least September so it will be after that, depending on what happens then. I could use the change though.

Well it is a great place to watch a game with really no bad seat in the house...and sometime changes are good :)

Out of curiosity what games have you been to?

Oh very good.. I will be like a little kid. BE WARNED. I get excited watching them at home and have even known to be teary eyed at O Canada :o

I have been to Montreal/Toronto and Ottawa/Boston. For the Ottawa game we had great seats but jaysus who put the feckin' arena out in the woods??? I think our seats were decent enough in Montreal too.

and yes I have been NEEDING a change for a while.. a long while

Hey that's cool...whenever I goto an Oilers home game I get the "pre-game" jitters...just get pumped up and time seems to slow down....but my rule is one MUST goto the warm-up...that is honestly one of my favorite things to do when in town to watch a game....I never miss the warm-up....as for O Canada last year play-off runs I will admit hearing all the Oil faithful belting out the anthems was almost enough to give me a tear in my eye...

Funny because I was talking to my good buddy today just how much it sucks this year with the Oil out considering the run of last year...was such an exciting two months....by the way how did you ever become an Oilers fan by living out east?

Last year was just SO exciting. My boss even let me leave early one night :) O Canada really did seem special last year and in Salt Lake.. very emotional for me.

I am enjoying watching the Sens but still not the same.

Well I guess I have always liked to stand out.. :p I think it was because I was little and it was the beginning of they whole Oilers Dynasty thing going on...and it has remained with me.

Haha. I flew down to Ottawa for game 3 on Monday and I thought the same thing. I stayed downtown and it was a good 45 minute drive to the arena. Great atmosphere in Ottawa right now though.

Lucky you to be there!! I stayed downtown when I was there too, much better. Did you take a bus or drive to the arena? We went to a concert the night before the game and took the public transit and it was great fun after the hockey game as I ran into some Atlantic Canadians and even knew a few people. We had a grand time :) The night before for the concert... man some drunk cougar...

I used to be a Jets fan (parents and I went to a lot of games back in the day) then they moved and I adopted the Oilers as my favorite team and watched them wither in obscurity until like last year....which made the run so much more meaningful to me I guess....and like yourself I am rooting for the Sens. but it does not feel the same at all...I got a Sens jersey this Christmas from my dad with Spezza's #/name on the back (my favorite NHL player for some reason lol) so I have been donning that the last few games...although it kinda of makes me feel like a bandwagon fan in a sense but inside I know where my allegiance lies. :)

Not a big big fan of hockey, but I still LOVE the Stanley Cup. Greatest trophy in all of sports!!

I had my picture taken with it once!! When the All-Star game was in Minnesota. Sadly it was a picture of me, the cup, and my ex-girlfriend. So I no longer have the picture. Yes I am a vendictive son of a bitch! :D

We'll see if NY pulls out any silver bullets for the Playoffs :D

I'm betting Sens v.s. Rangers for Stanley Cup 07.

Should be a corker...Hi-o silver away!

Haha. Drunk cougars are great. We drove to the arena. It's quite the jaunt. Took a good hour to get back to the hotel after the game due to the masses of drunk fans on the highway. I also really loved the fact that there were "Golf Leafs Golf" signs littering the building.

Bullshit...we might just dress Peters to go one on one with Emery!

If we do beat the Rangers, I'm headed to Ottawa for a either game 3 or 4!
