That's exactly why they should mix things up. Many people upfront are too accustomed to their seats, and are in fact spoiled. After having decent to bad seats for many many shows I was lucky enough to have 9th row center seats for the London, ON show in 05', and I gotta say it have my chills like nothing I've ever had. I was trippin out! It's a feeling I'll never forget, and it's probably my favorite show to date. Plus some shows in 05-06 the fans upfront didn't look like they were having too much fun (except the guy front row with the white shirt, waving his hat, who had no beat!).

The people with seniority aren't spoiled, they have just grown accustomed to being close. Not fair to take that from them. And, the people who sit far back don't know what it's like to be close, so they won't be losing anything!

Its like a Republican/Democrat debate......those with seniority are like republicans; they have gotten rich (ie. close seats!), and want to keep their wealth! They don't want the government (10C) to take their seniority away!

Those with little seniority are like democrats who want wealth redistributed (close seats!).

This is obviously a generalization, but I think it holds true!

I just don't think paying $20 a year makes ppl feel the TC owes them something, which many low TC members feel. That's just crazy. If the TC mixes it up for this tour just wait and see how many fan members will say they've been loyal and now screwed.

I was being a wise guy re: people being accustomed to their good/not as good seats!

It doesn't matter anyways. The TC have their reason for senority, and it's to stop scalpers, which I totally undetstand. I'd rather see real fans up front than ppl willing to fork out $1000/ticket. Whether I end up with 25th row, or 50th row I'll be attending PJ shows until there's PJ no more - just maybe not as many if I was up front. And I'll be having fun no matter what.

Guess what? I know a guy who was just a kid... like you.. back in 1992 and he is in the 60,000s. Because, most of the people who joined fan clubs back then, were little kids. Us older people figured that it was just another lame fan club that sent you a certificate (suitable for framing), a bullshit glossy 8x10 photo with the autographs printed in the photo, a lame newsletter from the President of the Fan Club with no real news in it and a wallet sized card you have to fill out yourself.
Also.. all the shows were General Admission up until 1998. It didn't matter if you got a ticket... you still had to duke it out with us older scumbags in the pit. The only reason why I joined was because I didn't want to deal with Ticketmaster/ChargeLine and the frustration of trying to get a line in... 20 minutes of a busy signal or, "We're sorry, but all of our circuits are busy... please check the numbe... OH!!! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!".

ha! that's exactly why i didn't join....i remember reading the liner notes of ten and seeing the fan club info.....i had joined a bands fan club (i can't remember which band) and got less than that so i thought, why bother.....i wish i had been as smart as victor.....:o

Living in the midwest has its bennys (believe it or not)...senority has worked better for me with the lower populations, less fans (other than Chicago...my seats have always stunk)

A tougher situation for those of you out east ot out west....

I do wish I'd known earlier a fan club was something with real benefits...at least w/ PJ...would have been one of the first to sign up! so goes it

The volume of 10C members in the Northeast is incredible, and many travel to multiple shows, so to get closer, you must travel further. Again, many of my most memorable experiences have been the furthest trips (Seattle, Western Canada, Newfoundland, and Italy).

I agree with you totally. My girlfriend and I went to St. John's, and with my club number we were in the fourth row(usually 15 rows back on Stone's side). It was awesome, Eddies sweat actually hit me in the face! I was behind a guy that came from Indiana. Awesome show!

Up to and including year 2000, it was 2 tickets per ONE show. You had to figure out which show you wanted to go to. The rest you had to duke it out with the masses on TicketMaster. So, what we would do was buddy up and split two different shows... you buy one pair and I buy another and we would swap our extra tickets. If it's different cities... open up your home and let them sleep on the couch and they do the same for you.
The good thing about that... even higher member numbers got pretty close. In 1998 (first of the seated shows) I was 3rd row center with a 139,000 number. Last tour (2006), I was about 12th or 14th row.
One thing I think would be good for ensuing tours... you can buy as many shows as you want, but you can only specify ONE show as your Top Pick. You would only compete with other members who picked that particular show as their Top Pick. After that, seniority. This way, you get at least one show to be up close. The rest will be your regular seats. And you can and should buddy up with another member and split your Top Picks to get two shows.
And as a bonus... random highest numbers (possibly one from the last 100 members from each show) get front row center... regardless of your other Top Pick. Someone with a high number, put their butts in those seats... they will be so estatic, they will probably faint (and it'll be great). Totally random, computer generated luck. And if someone is lucky enough to get randomly picked twice (highly unlikely)... good. The rest of us should be happy for them, not envious.
The people who have the really low numbers have had a string of 2 years in their pockets... maybe it's time to share the wealth. If they have been to a bunch of shows in the front... they really don't have anything to bitch about because they have already been rewarded. It should be about sharing, not selfishness. Give someone else the thought of possibly getting a guitar pick or a tamborine... let them be the one that Mike says 'Hi' to from the stage... let them see Mike rip through the 'Evenflow' solo so they will no longer consider it a beer run song.
And... Don't pick a General Admission show as your Top Pick, even if it is in your hometown. You can get the railling, regardless of your membership, if you invest the effort. General Admission is an old school free for all. Pick a show where it'll count.

This is just a wish I have. I have been fortunate enough to see a bunch of gigs from fucking awesome seats. I have no problem sharing it with others. I love my memories... and I know those would be memories they would cherish for as long as they can remember them.
