I guess all young kids should be isolated from everyone else so they don't get the wrong impression, by which I mean, an impression that you might not agree with. Give them some credit. Whenever an issue comes up on this board about eating meat, or perceptions of reality. People say "like Eddie" as if Eddie Vedder is a model of everything that's right and just.
I hate to say this but Mr. Vedder is a mere mortal, a simple human being like the rest of us. His experiences have lead him to be what he is. If Mr. Vedder does not eat meat, does not mean that eating meat is bad, just means he thinks it is. I've never read a thesis by Mr. Vedder, but I imagine it would be three or four word phrases followed by "..." which could easily be sung to music.
People on this board idolize him like he's the epitome of good. Ironically, people also mock others who idolize Brittney Spears or the like.
