"Do I think he is a savior? No. He is a democrat and definitely part of the machine to an extent"
well, a pretty large extent, as I have demonstrated.
"As you said, all signs point towards it being a better administration that W's. Then again, that's not hard. Obama could be the 2nd worst president of all-time and still be better than Bush."
jesus, set your standards high much?
"I think the world will look at us differently with a well spoken, charismatic, seemingly open-minded African-American man in office"
you're even dumber than i thought, that's beyond naive.
you agree with him more, and a black president makes us look better.
holy moly
the fact that you agree with Obama more should be your first clue, don't hurt yourself with that butter knife...
some concrete would be good, but you got none.
This has to be the lamest rhetort I have ever seen. Do you read what you type before you post? Jesus man...you are tyring to call me out for being full of "shiat" and you post...this? Hah.
Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
your partisan bs doesn't change the fact that we've had 8 years of what is by now pretty much accepted as the worst president in history. and you want to elect a member of his party, someone that voted for his policies 95% of the time. not me.
actually, it was Obama who agreed with his establishment 95% of the time.
McCain voted in line 90%
Bush is a neocon, sorry if you voted for Bush in '04, but I had enough after the first four.
McCain is a traditional conservative
I want the better man.
And thanks for keeping an open mind on the subject.
I would submit what you're saying, making excuses is partisan bs. at least I have facts....
well, if there's anything you'd like to debate, we can do that.
just attacking me for having an opinion, though, without debating the subject itself, is pretty messed up.
The whole quote was posted on the original Biden thread, by me. That was where the discussion started with just a couple of sentences. Your welcome for the entire thing, as some otherwise wouldn't have known, unfair as I am
My thread is pointing out the importance of the meaning behind Biden's words that he said with such conviction. The fact that Biden mixed in a "i think he can handle it" was not MY point.
Debate that, not whether or not I'm a right wing mouthpiece.
I've been pretty careful to state that I'm an independent conservative, so there's no secret where I'm coming from.
It's not an attack, you asked for an example of half truths. That thread shows is another example of how you do that...
"Senator Biden has now seen the inner workings of the Obama machine, and he's had enough. Biden's foreign policy experience, his love of country, and his growing awareness of what an Obama presidency actually means, have led him to deliver the warning: world despots will be anxious to attack this country if Obama becomes president..."
There is no in my opinion in your above quote...you present it as a fact. Im not going to debate a subject that is an opinion presented as a fact, but i will call you out on it. As far as attacks, do you read your own threads? "EAT IT" nice.

OMG, you gotta be kidding me. freakin hypocrites. the liberals on this board have that tactic down to a science. I could fill pages of people saying shit that just isnt true at all. totally the opposite of fact, reported as fact.
look, i realise that we're overwhelmingly liberal here,
the quote was posted directly after that, so you can decide for yourself.
Again, debate the thread. all I'm ghearing for a rebuttal is "fuck off". Okay, but I'm not going ANYWHERE.
Some great comparisons of the candidates there, that *appears* to be somewhat objective. Read up on the issues and think for yourself. That's all we can hope voters will do. Vote on the issues and your conscience.
Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

Looks like a Wikipedia entry copied verbatim to me. Except the last 2 sentences of course. Biden isn't full of shit. Anyone who thinks he was somehow warning of an attack is though. I didn't see or hear any implication of an attack in his statement. Crisis doesn't necessarily mean attack. That's only in the fear mongering world of the extreme right.
"Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a GENERATED crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
generated international crisis is not necessarily an attack. yeah, guess so.
I got to say, I think this is odd. Why does he feel the need to say this? It's like he's trying to help McCain. Considering he said, he'd run on the same ticket as McCain, I don't find it outlandish to suggest that he may be. But, odd nonetheless.

I guess you think the only kind of crisis out there is terrorism related. Not like we couldn't have an international financial crisis or anything (especially these days) Not like there couldn't be other countries going to war with each other that would affect the U.S. (Russia-Georgia, India-Pakistan) I'm tired of this dumb ass argument anyway. Show some real proof Biden was specifically talking about an attack on our soil. Then get back to me. I'll be waiting.

and verified it with a 2 min. video, and the video provided here, which I believe is the most legit source.
Biden tends to be a bit wordy when trying to explain himself and usually ends up saying something that can easily be misinterpreted. I think this is one of those times. Republicans and the right are grabbing at straws because they know deep down that McCain is pretty much done. With less than two weeks to go Obama's numbers keep going up while McCain's keep sinking. I'm sure if the tables where turned the Obama campaign would be doing the same thing.
McCain's campaign has been a victim of circumstance and bad advice. It's not that Obama is a better candidate or that McCain is a terrible one. I think his campaign handlers tried to replicate Bush's two winning campaigns during a period when people didn't want to hear the usual rhetoric coming from a candidate. With the credit crisis and the economy people wanted answers and leadership and unfortunately for McCain as well he had Bush to deal with. By being a Republican he already started off with a disadvantage.

my point isn't the translation, it's that you're saying Khadafi is a reliable source ...
Wasn't it a month or so ago Condi Rice was in Libya negotiating with him? Isn't he trying to be on our good side now?
Seriously, you can't trust the propoganda coming out of his mouth, but, if that's what you want to base your vote on, it's your right.

Of course, pursuing this argument, Bin Laden thinks that a Barack Obama presidency actually means a reduction in military spending. huh...
Man, Al Qaeda "endorsed" John McCain. Do you really think there's an adequate comeback to that?
Do I take this seriously? No. Do I take the words of some idiot dictator in the Middle East seriously? No. Shitty leadership knows no borders or boundaries.
edit: Come to think of it, who knew that both you an Al Qaeda had something in common? You both think an Obama presidency is...what's the word, unacceptable!
Well, Bin Laden obviously obviously wants one candidate or other in office.
Why would he lend his endorsement to McCain? obviously because he loves the guy and wants him to be president. He wouldn't try to scare people into voting Obama, right?

wow
Really. I can't even believe that you would take this so seriously. What next Bin Laden is endorsing McCain because Obama is a secret member of Al Qaeda.

I'm saying that you taking any of this seriously is ludicrous.
I'm saying that you taking any of this seriously is ludicrous.
Can people really be believing this shit? I am scared for the future of this nation and not because of Barrack Obama or John McCain but because of the increased stupidity of it's people.

in many cases, I'm not sure it's turly believing it ... I think it's twisting facts to hear what they want to hear ... and sadly, it's amplified with mob mentality.
But, if you took a lot of these things at face value ... and presented them not in the heat of the election ... most people wouldn't think twice about half the shit that is being reported.

Biden's foreign policy experience, his love of country, and his growing awareness of what an Obama presidency actually means, have led him to deliver the warning: world despots will be anxious to attack this country if Obama becomes president...
“Mark my words,” Mr. Biden warned at the Seattle fund-raiser, according to reports from network producers traveling with him, “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember, I said it standing here, if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Carefully disguised as support, there's little doubt that a man of Biden's tenure in politics didn't know what he was saying.
It's getting sicker by the day.
An Obama Presidency is unacceptable.
Biden is a piece of shit and on the board of the CFR..the most UN-American motherfuckers in Washington.
Hmmn....so? So why don't we see Biden crucified every time he says something stupid like Palin?
Because he doesn't say stupid things nearly as much as Palin does. Nobody does, except maybe George W. Bush.

Hmmn....so? So why don't we see Biden crucified every time he says something stupid like Palin?
Because when Biden says something it's usually something along the lines of, "well, FDR got on television after the stock market..."
Whereas when Palin says something it's usually something along the lines of, "Well, this is the role of the Vice President in the Senate" when the Constitution clearly states that it is NOT the role of the Vice President in the Senate.
And speaking of which, I seem to remember quite a few Biden headlines thus far. "It's patriotic to pay taxes..." "we will be tested if Obama is in office..." etc. This sounds like a talking point to me.

Checked for accuracy to the degree possible. I have found this and two other sources with the exact same translation.
Happy trails...
yes, Obama the "secret muslim" who is using the elections as "propoganda" ... are you kidding me?
