The brave Joe Biden

Senator Biden has now seen the inner workings of the Obama machine, and he's had enough. Biden's foreign policy experience, his love of country, and his growing awareness of what an Obama presidency actually means, have led him to deliver the warning: world despots will be anxious to attack this country if Obama becomes president...
“Mark my words,” Mr. Biden warned at the Seattle fund-raiser, according to reports from network producers traveling with him, “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember, I said it standing here, if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Carefully disguised as support, there's little doubt that a man of Biden's tenure in politics didn't know what he was saying.
It's getting sicker by the day.
An Obama Presidency is unacceptable.

somethings gotta change....Those glory days of the great depression, although maybe desired by some in power, that's unacceptable. And that's exactly where we're headed if you look just at the numbers. Consider policies and decisions passed in Washington, led by Bush, its almost inevitable.
those wonderful days where warehouses held rotting food while people starved, where apartments stood empty while millions were homeless..all because people couldn't pay for it. there was no profit in it. that's where we are headed.
And while I doubt Obama will have any significant impact on the way we run our society, I do believe his policies will at least be directed towards helping the majority as opposed to those on Wall Street-and its almost guaranteed McCain will do the opposite, catering to Wall Street at the EXPENSE of the working class. Obama has at least expressed his concern for the majority...whether or not he upholds those promises as president...well that's something I'd like to find out.
It doesn't add up, we got to get it together here...
Joe Biden says some crazy shit:D

You keep saying that, but what exactly do you mean by it?
I can't stand Bush and what his adminstration has done to this country, but in 2004 me saying a second Bush term is unacceptable would be about as pointless of a statement as you or Sean Hannity saying an Obama Presidency is unacceptable.

Ok, could you please explain what he is going to do?
I just don't get it. What is unacceptable? What exactly is the problem?
prepare to be betrayed, prepare to be disappointed
How?
nader, 2 weeks ago sunday on Cspan, with Tabitha Soren. must see...
I don't hang out on the Moving Train. Let them choke. I'm curious if you have something concrete to say.
I'm not against you or judging, just want to know?
Substance or silence. Which are you going to go with? You choose.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
yeah, you're right...fuck'em
In a campaign interview video with Tabitha Soren, which can be viewed in its entirety at cspan.org 'road to the whitehouse' link:
Soren: Is there any part of you that feels akward about running against a man who could become the first african american president?
Nader:
Not at all, becuase I don’t buy this, that we should step aside because this may be the first african american president and it will be an unprecedented upward career move. It’s gotta be more than that. He is in a unique position to stand for the 100 million americans at the bottom of the income ladder: african americans, latinos, poor whites, and put forth a program with credibility because of who he is, where he came from, community organizer, father was a Kenyan, and it’s not happening. And I’m not going to give him a free ride on that.
We used to work in the civil rights movement in the 50’s, 60’s. After a long night we’d sit around having a little food, and people would say “you know, someday if we only had an african american president or if we had the chair of important committees in the congress being held by african americans things would be so different.” Prepare to be dissapointed. Prepare to be betrayed, unless we pull him toward the direction of pregressive liberal positions. Because otherwise the corporations are successfully pulling him in the other direction.
That’s what the flip-flops are signifying. He has raised more money from commercial corporate interests and corporate lawyers by far more than John McCain. Why are these corporate interests investing in him so heavily? That’s a good question. If we don’t pull him and make him better, the corporations will pull him and make him worse.
Unedited quote.
Nader does oppose John McCain on the war and monay other things, but I thought this was pretty compelling.
An Obama Presidency is unacceptable....
but back to Biden and his warning us about "that one"
You say be prepared to be disappointed. I truly hope that is not the case, but let me make something very clear...There's a lot a stake for me, i have not had children yet. I want something better than this to bring them into. I don't have 'blind faith' that Obama is going to solve all our problems, i am not unrealistic as to what he can and can't do, but i do have hope that with the right people around him, he is the best candidate. I've posted numerous times why i support Obama and what i like/dislike about his polices.
Say i'm wrong, and i'm placing faith and trust in someone that doesn't deserve it, obama gets in, and he continues with Bush doctrine, the conversation in 4 years will be much different. We won't be fooled twice now will we.
However I think he will be a bit better than the current administration.
So says Nader... the Three time loser
who cares? Nader has issues
Bush somehow fooled us twice.
You know, if you're gonna spread the republican talking points, you might want to realize some of us are going to be smart enough to get the ENTIRE story ...
From FOX NEWS no less ...

"Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it's gonna happen," Biden continued.
The Delaware senator's remarks were the second of their kind over the weekend. At a fundraiser in San Francisco, Biden said Obama's challengers will "find out this guy's got steel in his spine" whenhe is tested.

I am willing to give him a shot for several reasons. Do I think he is a savior? No. He is a democrat and definitely part of the machine to an extent. But I sure as hell liked Clinton's administration more than either Bush's administrations. McCain is WAY too much like W., and Obama is much more like Clinton who, aside from personal indiscretions, was a fairly good president. This is not pre-2000. I can't vote for a 3rd party candidate. Maybe I will again in 4-8 years, if and when the country turns for the better and I can be idealistic again. To me, Obama is WAY lesser of the 2 evils and I want to give him a shot. I side with him on some issues and not others...but way more than I do with McCain.
As you said, all signs point towards it being a better administration that W's. Then again, that's not hard. Obama could be the 2nd worst president of all-time and still be better than Bush. I think we need a president with not only a plan, but with charisma. I think the world will look at us differently with a well spoken, charismatic, seemingly open-minded African-American man in office. Maybe that's simplistic, but I think it's true. We need something different, and Obama may not be perfect but I think he's a good choice for the state we are in as a nation.
I'm not a Republican. I'm not a Democrat. Obama just makes sense right now. I don’t expect perfection from him. I just expect change, and like I said, I do side with him on some issues...far more than I do with McCain. To me, it makes sense to vote for him.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
Take Nader's word, he knows a thing or two about civil rights and corporate greed.
Thanks for starting to open up...we all want change right now. The questions is, who is MORE LIKELY to bring it (well, us but...)
I have two little girls, there's so much at stake in this election, you're so right about that.
Over the past week or so I've been back here I see the case has been made for voting McCain, thanks to the few conservatives in this room. It's clear that people are starting to know who the better man is.
Add it all up to the big picture, and now the Biden thing...
McCain/Palin '08
I pretty much agree with all you said. I think we will be a better member of the world community. I think we will be slightly less war hungry. And I think we might even begin to see our deficit come down as it did under Clinton.
I'm just jaded by the entire system as it is taken over by our (Corporation ruled) monetary system. Seems like something hard to get out from under.
That's all this guy does.....half truths and presents opinions as facts.
agreed

Well, yeah. Money rules our political system. It's the way of the world. We base our economic and military decisions on money, be it in the form of trade, oil, lobbyists, big business, and on and on. There's no way around that until humanity as a whole realizes we're all being foolish and destroying the ourselves and more importantly the planet which, in the end, will go on without us...or our money.
We've lost track of what is truly important. In that regard, it's a very sad world to be living in. More than ever, we are lost.

I posted the entire thing in the other thread
If you have a half-truth, why not call me out on it rather than pissing like little biatches?
cuz you can't
heads in the sand....
yoiu;re just pissed cuz you got NUTHIN but platitudes!
but had no issue starting a new thread with only half the story ...

whatever, the quote is the quote. it is unedited and completely in context. eat it.
aren't you supposed to end your opinions with your signature? "FACT!"

Did you just use the term "eat it" in a political thread and expect us to take you seriously?
