Yes and your point is what? The reasons for going to war were false, so weather they had WMDs a few years previously or not is of no consequence little boy.

good to see you finally agree that WMDs existed. now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go debate with some of the grown ups.

Look did they find these so called WMD's which was the whole reason for going to war, NO they did not.

I have never used a that was then line. and I have no idea what you are getting at anyway?

your fucking rants make no sense. its the IAEA who is calling the shots. not the US, France, UK or anyone else.

At least you try and read them so I will give you credit there.

Anyway jlew, I'll put this in a way you can understand it.

It was okay when the shah was in power in Iran, that the United States of America was willing to pitch in and give a power plant and how to use it to them. But now that you don't have a puppet in Iran calling the shots, you and some others seem to have problem with it.

So if your boy the shah had a power plant or two up and operating and then got turfed from the country, it would have been okay. I think you people down there really need to keep a tab on what really goes on in the entire world when your CIA backed governments in these countries get given all the goods to control the population so the corporations can make big bucks and keep smiles on people's faces in America such as your own. Then you balk when things go wrong. Aside from the west, the rest of the world seem to know how to take a corrupt government down. We should learn from them over here.
You've changed your place in this world!

if Iran was being honest and 100% trasparent about the program, we wouldnt be talking about this.

I wasnt talking war or pre war. just stating the fact the they existed. for me, that was never a reason to go to war. and I feel the same way about Iran. even if they are PROVEN to have nukes, I dont want war with them. but guess what, it will happen. and thats on them.

Iraq was sold material to make weapons. Before the sanctions and during the war with Iran they were able to make weapons and use them but after the sanctions they weren't anymore. They could barely feed themselves. I'll be surprised if they didn't learn how to live off anthrax.

Anyway.. the UN found useless biohazardous material that had gone off in broken down factories.

There is a thread about the interview with Saddam. He even says they never had any ANYMORE and he was only maintaining that thought to scare off the Iranians.

So don't build your bomb shelter just yet, if Syria has these types of weapons they didn't come from post-UN sanctions Iraq.

ok maybe I should be more clear. the materials were never found. and I see no reason why those materials couldnt have gone into Syria. but probably unlikely

and I need no bomb shelter. I dont feel a threat for any mideast country. only from Islamic fundamentalism, which has no borders.

A lot of material was found. Read the UN reports. The rest was fed to the Kurds and Iranians with western authority.

I did read the reports back then and yes some was found, some was not. there was alot unaccounted for. reasons for war? no. just stating the facts.

As for this, the statistics show you are more likely to be shot dead by a murderer or robber than ever even finding out about a person you know who was attacked by an Islamic fundamentalist.

yea I agree. and its nice we havent been attacked since 9/11 but until we leave Iraq and the Israel issue is worked out, the threat will remain. maybe more now then before 9/11
