nevermind..you probably know..
but imagine for a second:
you're, through no choice of yours, born in a country where it's overpopulated, there's sky high unemployment, your children have little chance of bettering themselves through education, you might even be starving.
then right next door (or even furtehr, at that point you don't care), there's this big country with lots of space that permanently advertise to the world that they're the best, the richest, the freer, etc..
what would YOU do?
you might consider you being American is just cheer dumb luck and your ancestors were all illegal immigrants anyway (most Native Americans didn't give them permission to come and still their lands)
Most people given the choice would rather stay in their country..they don't have a choice to speak of though..0 -

hear of it no.. read about it... mmm probably.
anything more recent? anything that would necessitate the worlds largest mobile military force? is it to stop chicken farmers from Cancun?oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

I mean if suddenly my island was overwhelmed by chineese I would be worried and felt that if we dont do something we are going to loose our heritage, culture, and language. But what people fail to see is that all those immigrants who are going to america is becuase of the the economic policies created by the goverment. Believe me that if these people could stay i their countries they would. They are leaving for a reason. Jobs and $$$$$$$$. The question then should be why are ther no jobs or real wages in these countries. Start from there and see what policies can the goverment change or implement to help these countries build solid economies so that people wont leave.
that's a question for el presidente who pockets mexicos wealth and leaves his people to starve.0 -

i do not blame the people for wanting to go to anorther country, but you can't also blame the counrty for saying do it legal. let's bring your story to a smaller scale. let's say that you are very poor and can't afford food or rent. now right next door there is a family there who has those things that you want should you be allowed to take from them?People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid."

i agree, but we can't go back to where we were then. we have seperated things into legal and illegal. my concern is that we seem to be picking and choosing what laws can and can't be broken. thats's a problem.People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid."

i didnt say i have no fears... but america seems to have more GRANDER fears.. terrorists for instance... you had one lethal attack, granted it was a monumental one... the UK has had hundereds.. and yet i have no fear of terrorism..
i don't lock my doors; i leave the keys in my truck; and i don't live in fear of anyone or anything.0 -

if you don't want them in the shed, a) stop shouting so loudly how rich you are b) pay them decently for the work they do for you in their own home c) pressure their landlord to charge them a fair rent0 -

Well considering that only 6.4%, as of 2005, of the inmates in state and federal prison are illegal aliens I would think that we have more to fear from our own citizens then from illegal aliens."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0
