Massachusetts marijuana reform bills filed, both medical and decrim. Hearing on November 5th, State House, Boston, MA!

I was at the State House yesterday with some fellow activists lobbying as well with NORML's KEITH STROUP & HIGH TIMES MAGAZINE Publisher Rick Cusick outside the courthouse for their hearing on the marijuana bust for smoking a joint on the Boston Common at the 18th annual Boston Freedom Rally. Still working on the video but it's just shoot and go guerilla video and I think it works. Check it out. I will be uploading some more polished cuts of it, this is the first dump after having Comcast problems and the google video dowload screwing up the audio at the end, and now youtube not putting up my vids? Sometimes it all doesn't work. Off to another better place to host the final cuts.

News to me and the world? I've never heard anybody complain of this. I'm a High Times reader and they are sorta of friendly competitors if this was true wouldn't they cover it? Hmmm... Where does this BS come from?
I don't know if that is true (I can't see it, that's pretty harsh)...but none of the people I know that have met him have much good to say to him. I've heard from more than one person (former friends, business partners) that he's an ego-maniac...but it's heresy, who knows. He doesn't deserve to have been sold out to the US by the Canadian government, that I DO know. Never heard him called a narc before...
  • Using MJ will not keep you from "dying from chrons".

  • Well, quite frankly, if this woman has a debilitating disease that needs specific care, she should not have put herself in a position to be placed in jail. Obviously it wasn't that important to her when she chose to break the law.

you don't know any more than i do why this woman is in jail. it is entirely possible that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time

Yes it may. However, allowing a prisoner special treatment in lockup will cause problems with the other inmates. It just isn't feasible. She will have to use other means of symptom relief.

Well, according to the video you obviously did not watch, she was involved in drug trafficking.

She was granted medicinal use of MJ and abused that right.

As a punishment? That's the gist of your argument.

She was involved in drug trafficking? Have you seen the evidence? What do know about it? I know Marc Emery sold some seeds and unlike all the other seed sellers in Amsterdam he got nailed because he got political and actually challenged the empty suits. So they drag in his friend an activist that very well might die in prison if he doesn't bow down and take their deal and muzzle for life? What evidence do you have that she is a drug trafficker? The DEA and DA in the USA I do not trust on this at all. And for good reason. This is a common tactic for law enforcement, charge another that person loves even if they are innocent. That's like by the book standard operating procedure in the USA and especially at the top the great evil DEA.

If you don't have evidence? That's called libel, you can be sued for that. Not that she will, she's classy unlike others that throw out libelous charges with no proof.

According to the video she approved, she is quoted as "his assistant". That therefore makes her an accomplice to his actions. They knowingly, admittedly and willingly sold drugs and drug paraphinalia. That is called trafficking.

If that is how you want to look at it. She had a free ride by getting medicinal mj to treat her illness. She trumped that special privilege by choosing to participate in illegal activity.

Natural seeds chosen by the government, through their dominating pocket-lining links, deemed to be illegal.
    It's called fascism.

By this reasoning, all medications should be legal and over the counter.

Jesus Christ. By my reasoning hemp grows naturally and needs no synthesizing as do all other over-the-counter drugs.

You can grow it yourself, but the fascists don't want you to.

  • My final thought for the night.

I think all drugs should be legalized to buy and consume. I also think that all drug use should be held to the same standards as alcohol use. You cannot indulge and drive. You cannot indulge and go to work. You cannot indulge and be around children. I would also add into these laws that persons who do indulge are not eligible for welfare, food stamps or public assistance of any kind. There will not be any provisions for government rehab, even in the event of commiting a crime while under the influence.

This way, yahoo's who want to get stoned all the time, who end up hooked and homeless or criminals will no longer be the concern of the general public. My tax dollars will no longer be used to support your habit.

If drugs were legal. Hopefully those who cannot control their use will eliminate themselves and no longer be a burden to society. Survival of the fittest at its best.

But if survival is dependent on the dollar... and society's health is measured by its economic well-being, how is it that the few chronic addictions/addicts here among us are thrown out and away, in your mind? We already have the panhandlers on our city streets. Are you suggesting upping the homeless population? This is a question beyond marijuana, I think. This entails alcoholism as the first and foremost addiction of choice in the America... and whatever other highly physical addictive synthesized substances out there.

Your argument lacks any sort of cohesiveness regarding community and family. And so it lacks strategy in its follow-through.

Assistant to what? His political party? His legal head shop? His legal magazine? His medical marijuana reform group? I think you don't know when to admit you have no proof to back up your claims.

OK I lied this time...not my last post.

    I did say ALL DRUGS.

Community and family are disregarded by those who choose to become a drug user. It isn't society's problem to fix. Except maybe to take away their rights as parents.

To his selling and promoting of illegal substances. She participated. She is guilty.

Illegal activity, first of all, you have shown no proof. Nothing. And you continue to go on and do it. You think it's a game. Somebody's life and you have no proof.

And second even if she was involved in selling seeds with Marc Emery, when did seeds become illegal drugs? Where is the law that makes seeds illegal? Why is it legal to sell poppy seeds (which is the start point to manufacture heroin) but not cannabis or hemp seeds?

Wow, you're so good, you should go and be her lawyer. She would definitely win.

as for your first sentence....bullshit, you only need to look as far as Amsterdam to see how wrong you are.

Why isn't the DEA going after seed dealers in Amsterdam and other places with saner marijuana policy who for just as long sell seeds to US customers and are still doing so?

This is very narrow minded and cold. I understand the theory of tough love and all that when it comes to addictions, and that may have it's merits, however an all-encompassing view like yours dividing humans into sub-humans for the harmless activity of pot smoking is...

    fascism.

And you should be her executioner. I'm sure you would get off on pulling the lever to kill her. Probably with a big smile and chuckle.
