I live in CO for many reasons, and yes one of them is fact that I sit atop the US! No Floods here!
You might want to check into the Chatfield Dam and look into to why it was built on the South Platte River.

The biggest difference is that they spent their money on the dam instead of spending it on...I can't really figure that part out.

This is not the fault of the average New Orleans resident. It's more just what has become normal in Louisiana government.
While corruption in Louisiana's government is nigh unrivaled, the levees were built incorrectly by the Army Corps of Engineers (who've admitted their mistake); and, if I'm not mistaken (and I might be), the ACoE falls under Federal jurisdiction. There's no question that Louisiana's government could have done more to protect the average New Orleans resident, just as there's no question the Federal government could have done more, just as there's no question the ACoE could have done better. It just gets my goat when "people" start shouting "FUCKING MOVE OUT - IT'S YOUR FUCKING FAULT - YOU'RE ALL FUCKING LAZY - FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK" - particularly when it's coming from someone who lives in a flood prone area himself, whether he knows it or not.

No. I was asking denver man what he thought of the orange and blues massive win the other night. See that is what I like about the NFL. A week three game can mean a whole lot to the grand scheme of things. :) Since this is a NFL thread. I thought I would inject some pigskin talk.

ah. i gotcha. but that monday night game at the dome was sweet too. blocked punt for a TD on the fouth play of the game. priceless

I can't believe that score from last evening. I am still agape about it. Damn. Da Bears could be the real deal this year.

Yeah Chatfield Dam is there to help corral water in which will be sold off to Cali and other neighboring states! FEMA's newest flood planes show minimal flooding should something ever happen...weak sauce bro!
