Yip, we do. I fucking love it - can't watch the soccer at all since I became obsessed with rugby.

I still haven't seen that last try. I saw it at the match of course but it happened so fast and it would have hurt too much to watch the replay on the screen :( . Nobody here seems to know what happened . I had a friend recording the match for me and I'll watch it next weekend - but I'll watch it up to O'Gara's penalty and pretend we won

The french we met yesterday were very respectful of the fact that people were pretty much in mourning whilst celebrating at the same time. We helped them celebrate and they drowned our sorrows... that's the way it should be. We were congratulated several times on our mentality, and they said they wish they could be like that when THEY lose. To compare, for us it was like France losing the world cup final to Italy.

i seriously doubt that... it wasnt that crucial a game.. you could still win the 6 nations... whereas France lost the World Cup in that game... not even comparable

How can you compare Ireland losing a six nations match,with France losing the final of the biggest sporting tournament in the world?Get some perspective.I agree the ref had a shocker,but Ireland only woke up after about 25 mins at which point the french should have been about 20pts clear and how we got to half time only 2 points down is a fuckin mystery.France are by far the best team in the tournament this year and they will beat everybody.If Ireland start like that against England in two weeks they will punish Ireland when France did'nt,how hard would that be to take?In my opinion,Ireland showed a lot of bravery in the second half,especially that last maul,ultimately France showed their quality.It's not a nice way to lose but the French deserved it.I just hope we beat England,I could'nt bear to see them leave Croke park with the spoils,c'mon lads play from the first fucking whistle and get at least a triple crown and head for the World cup in confidence.

Yes, there was taunting beforehand but we weren't gonna slag anyone. Even the guys we had the bet on to buy the drink if you lose, my friend and I decided if we won we'd buy them the drink anyway cos they'd be upset. And in fairness, nobody slagged me last night. One fella did get a couple of slaps though :mad: he told me to get my tits out :eek: I slapped him, then he said 'oh I'm sorry, I thought you were English' :eek: so he got another slap. What a prick! An older guy in his company came over to apologise though.

that was sorta my point as well... France LOST the world cup on that night... Ireland only lost a game, and so they can still win the tournament.. its a defeat but its not like Ireland have walked out of the competition :rolleyes:
