Seriously though, they do hate us for our freedoms :)
I disagree. I believe they hate us because of our foreign policies, specifically our arming and massively lobsided support for Israel.

Let me correct that a bit. They found traces of Thermite, particularily potasium per manganese, they also found sulfur, which when added to thermite becomes the patented military incendiary thermate.

I forgot to mention also, these same components are mentioned in the NIST report.

Hell, for all I know thermate is used to make computer chips, or copiers, or maybe exists in the electrical wiring of the elevators.

There is a good video online of thermite drilling through a car in a matter of seconds igniting the gas tank and exploding the car. Amongst other experiments.

    Very cooooool! Thanks!

That still goes against the timed explosions that are being discussed to bring down the building. If this was used, it would just have been an accelerant that maybe could melt the medal, but still not the timed explosions. Am i too skeptical?

If this stuff was in the tower, how was it used.

No you aren't too skeptical. I don't think there is such a thing. It's people that buy everything that need help.

Thermite can be used in a lot of different ways, including thermite grenades, rather than an incendiary. There are some more examples of thermite reactions here

"Incendiary grenades produce intense heat by means of a chemical reaction. The body is practically the same as that a smoke grenade. The filler is 600 to 800 grams of thermate (TH3), which is an improved version of the World War II-era thermite. The chemical reaction that produces the heat is called a "thermite reaction." In this reaction, aluminum metal and iron oxide (rust) react to produce iron and aluminum oxide. This reaction produces a tremendous amount of heat, burning at 2200 degrees Celsius (4000 degrees Fahrenheit). A thermite grenade can melt together the metallic parts of an object. This makes incendiary grenades such as the AN-M14 useful for destroying weapons caches, artillery units, and vehicles. Other advantages of thermate include its ability to burn through a 1/2-inch (12,7 mm) steel plate, and that an external oxygen source is not needed to sustain the reaction. Because of this, an AN-M14 can burn underwater."

I couldn't figure out a way to copy all the texts I wanted to, I had to manually type this out of the NIST report, but it goes on and on about sulfur eating away at the steal.
    NIST wrote:
However, the failure was not a material-related issue, as a concerted effort was made to deoxidize the steel to a relatively high degree for plates with Fy of 55 ksi or greater (NIST NCSTAR 1-2E). This was noted by the elevated levels of silicon and aluminum, with significantly low levels of phosphorous and sulfur.

The wasting of the web plates most likely resulted from a high temperature, corrosion process that was exacerbated by the presence of sulfur. While not enough evidence was available to indicate whether corrosion occurred through gaseous, liquid or solid attack (in addition to varied conditions possible in the rubble pile and lack of information associated with the recovery of this column at the WTC site), it was likely that the degradation process was most likely a complex combination of these three. As sulfur was not readily available in large amounts in the steel (0.02 weight percent max), an external source must have supplied this specie (e.g., plastic, rubber). Viewing the column, this external source was in all probability burning directly on top of the outer web while the column lay in a prone position.

An interesting thing I found in the NIST report was traces of an Aluminum Alloy called AA 3003. At first I thought this was from the jet. However Boeing as I found out typically uses a different Aluminum Alloy. AA 3003 is used in a lot of Aeresol cans, but would that have really been a detectable level. I don't know enough about it yet to make any correlations though.

Further on the very last line of page 232 it reads "No source for the sulfur was identified."

Possibly, apparently they had weapons caches.

One of the most unexplained phenomena of the WTC attacks, was the 1377 C degree temperatures reported under ground months afterwards. I believe it was NASA that provided the photos.

Also there is video footage of the clean-up crew pulling molten metal out of the site. I should have cataloged all this stuff when I came across it the first time, lol.

Check out Scholars for 9/11 Truth. Listen to a man with a PHD in Nuclear Science say that there is no way that the metal in that building melted from the jet fuel. It CAN'T burn hot enough to make it happen.

That's where they had me believing... Until I realized one thing. The word "melted." Damn right the steel didn't melt from the fire, -- It definitely did not get hot enough to turn into liquid metal. But, steel doesn't have to completely become liquid to lose strength,-- the fires did not burn hot enough to melt the steel, but they did burn hot enough to warp the steel to the point where it becomes useless.

with all the talk about fire and chemicals and such....don't leave out the effect of having the integrity of the steel compromised by the impact of a large jetliner at 400 mph...imho, it's not so hard to believe that the two together could have resulted in the failure of the structure...

Oh, that's right...because it was the "wacho lib" who could only say, "you're stupid, you're stupid"...right? Oh, nope, it was the cop who claims to have seen WTC7 fall down but isn't competent enough to see that it was demolished.

Exactly. If Bush and Co. masterminded this 9/11 plot to get into Iraq…which was based upon WMD…why weren't Bush and Co. smart enough to plant some WMD in Iraq to make themselves look good?

Why make yourself look like an ass after you do all of that masterminding and plotting for 9/11 JUST TO GET INTO IRAQ?!?!

    Well?
I don't believe this was to get into Iraq. I think that was an afterthought. IMO, one of the greatest motivations for the administration to pull this off is the long sought after goal of an untouchable president. Bush has increased the power of the president a great deal under the guise of security and protecting us from "terrorism."

Well, I'm not sure they hate us at all. Well, certainly Iraqis hate us for terrorizing and occupying their country, but if the middle east as a whole hates us, I believe you're correct with that reasoning.

Well, I'm sure they wanted to ensure the towers came down so they did both. Then with evidence of melted metal they could try to fool us into thinking the fires from the planes melted the metal. God bless Dr. Jones and the other Scholars for 9/11 Truth.
