No one should be excluded from the election process by anyone and they definitely shouldn't feel threatened to go vote simply based on the color of their skin. I will admit that I don't know Philly to well. I can only go by what I have seen in the NYC area.

Philly is not NYC whatsoever. Have you ever had a Mayor in NYC literally say "the brothers and sisters are running this city!"... ?

Many many minorities using the excuse that because we now have a black president that they can get away with a lot more bullshit. And i don't mean normal people, I mean trouble makers.
    Just wait and see.

You mean more violence and crime, or demanding handouts from the government and stuff like that?

In the city's defense, that mayor was a total assclown and voted the worst mayor in America by Time Magazine. But yeah, there are a lot of things that happen in Philly that don't happen anywhere else in the country.

He really said that, HOLY SHIT! No we have never had a mayor in NYC say that.

With that being said maybe I mixed my message all up, I pulled a Biden. I don't think we should ignore people like this. They need to be dealt with because their actions are unacceptable. My point was that at times the media makes matters worse and they tend to sensationalize things. This election had been pretty heated and there is some racial tension. So we need to be careful not to jump to conclusions. Obviously there is some funny shit happening in Philly and it needs to be addressed immediately.

Only after he turned what was an FBI corruption scandal into a racial incident. He was losing and then after the sting had its cover blown he spun it as an attempt by the white FBI led by Bush trying to keep a black man out of power.

Sometimes I'm scared I actually live in a city that fell for that especially after 4 or 5 of his top aides were indited and charged with taking bribes and kickbacks.

Yea, youre right. The whole chain of events was ridiculous. The FBI thing got the African Americans to rally because they thought he was being mistreated, then they put him back in office. The dude was a slimeball.

OK, I am not going to jump on you. I am trying to understand. Here is the question I have though... If Obama is elected and he tries to take care of "his kind" or whatever by making more programs available for minorities like some people fear.... Why would minorities get together and demand MORE and start raising hell and causing more violence and crime? Wouldn't they be doing better under an Obama administration, arguably? Why would they rebel against their own race, so to speak?

Of course people will tell you off for it. It's not true for a start. The membership of the NAACP is 300,000. At its peak the Ku Klux Klan numbered some 4 million. If you're going to pass off fabrications as fact in order to lend dramatic weight to a statement, don't expect people to take your more thought out comments particularly seriously either.

I'm hispanic and I had white friends who lived in or near the projects, I actually lived down the street from the housing project not in it, and none of us where ever harassed because of our skin tone. I've played basketball at some of the roughest courts in Newark and was never bothered because my skin tone was lighter. Yes there may be the occassional asshole who would start shit but for the most part if you where cool they where cool.

I am all for helping someone who needs help. I am not for someone who takes and takes and takes which is what many on GOV. programs do. I want to help people in need but their has to be a limit. And by helping I dont mean giving them money from others who make more because the have it.

    There is the answer.
You are hispanic, not white. I have many mexican friends who have problems all the time where they live. But they say the Puerto Rican people rarely have a problem.
Their is a huge difference there.

So is this the "redistributing the wealth" concept in your eyes? As in, take from the middle class white people and give to the poor, lazy minorities?

I'm honestly curious how Republicans view this issue.

Ok first off let me just say that I'm starting to get a bit offended by your constant insinuations of minorities being lazy freeloaders. We are all not a bunch of lazy welfare freeloaders. The majority of minorities in this country are hard working citizens who contribute positively to society. Second the majority of people in this country who receive government assistance do need it. Whether it's food stamps, rent assistance or free daycare for single mothers these programs do help out those that need it most. Of course there are plenty of people who take advantage of the system but should we lump everyone in with them.

Your comments are disgusting and ignorant and while I will stop short of calling you a racist you definitely seem to have issues with people who don't look, acts or believe as you do.
