Carter was one of the worst presidents by most standards. Not because of his beliefs or principles, but because of his inability to run the organization. He had no ability to delegate and micromanaged everything. As a result nothing got accomplished. He was inept and completely out of his league.

George W is out of his league...his admistration uses war and fear to cover up their micromanagement and ineptness...

who are people like you and what makes you so superior to everyone else?

who are people that think people who vote Republican, you must be stupid? who are the people that think if you own a gun you are stupid? live in a red state? stupid. go to church? stupid. join the military? stupid. don't buy into zinn, chomsky, et al.? stupid. watch NASCAR? stupid.

my question is who are the people that buy into all these stereotypes, and what makes them so superior to everyone else?
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
  • 1.George W. Bush=after 911 he led the country and the westen world to freedom and his will to wipe out terrorist's/toppel dictator's/support Israel and stand up for people with morel value's makes him the best American president in history. And history will prove this.

2.Abe Lincoln=I don think I have to say anything here.Jus like GWB he fought for the freedom of ALL American's.

    3.Andrew Jackson=help'd shape America.Controversal but none the less a hero among American's.
    I’d thank my lucky stars,
    to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Now this one HAS to be sarcastic.

It may be. It may be not.

But History will probably look at him as either an awful president, or one of the greatest. many of the people that make the tough decisions are on this list as the best presidents- Roosevelt's, Reagan, Lincoln, Washington, Truman, etc.... for better or worse...

what you dont see on this list are Harrison, McKinley, Cleveland, Fillmore, etc- guys that didnt do shit.

as awful as a lot of what W's stuff seems to look like now, there is no way for us to objectively view it, because most of it hasnt unfolded yet. Lets say a bright, young, idealistic leader gets elected in Iraq and is very popular there, and the nation, and helps the middle east stabalize. Does that mean Bush should get all the credit? No. But when people look back in 50 years, they wont be talking about haliburton or pat tillman.

What tough decision did he make? He has made soem horrible ones including one monumental one.

Going into Iraq was not tough it was STUPID. That is what history will see.

i've got a feeling that it might not even need to be a 'historical' issue..

The odds are, you're probably right.

But thanks for proving EXACTLY what i was saying. we cant view it objectively now. We're too involved with the day to day to know exactly what the big picture is going to bear out. The details have a tendency to disappear based on the final outcome. Those of us who read the news everday, read about another 20 dead troops, another suicide bomber, etc, wont be the ones makeing the judgements in 50 years.
