I was thinking that perhaps overpopulation is a key reason we just don't much value human life.. but thinking about Jackson - we surely didn't value it then....
I guess our intellect is severly flawed and destiny isn't promising
Washington - Yes he was a slave owner but in the last yaers of his life he came to recognize that slavery was wrong. No man is perfect but he was at leastenough of a man to own upto his mistakes.
FDR - He hadhis flaws, Japanese internment camps, but I believe that his achievements far outweigh them.
? - These are two of my favorite presidents and I have yet to like any other. JFK was decent but since him we have had a miserable streak of presidents culminized by the current president who, sorry Purple Hawk, will go down in history as one of the worst presidents we have seen.
"When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul
And Carter did quite alot to stabilise things after Johnson and Nixon and the imperial presidency. Carter was pretty inexperienced but I think he did a great job.
Dude that was priceless...I'll be laughing for days. Thanks.
3) Lincoln - toughest time to be president, though he didn't have to worry about dealing with the media. Held things together when it could have all fallen apart.

i often wish they had. id be a lot happier if the south were a different country and didnt have any say in my federal government.
I can't even tell you how many times I've had that exact thought.
damned hayseed rednecks...seriously, how brainwashed can you be...a bunch of losers that sit around drinking coor's light and watching NASCAR. complete idiots, racists, sexists, homophobes, etc. hate 'em.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

I have no idea what southerners do with their spare time, but I do know how they vote, and I'd be happier if their votes didn't affect me.

ok...i really don't understand your point...basically, you don't want people who disagree with you to have a say in your bubble...
evidence (fiorina 2005) shows that people in the south or midwest don't think differently than the bastian of brilliance of the blue states, but continue to look down upon those who disagree with you, and see how far it takes you.

Yes, I do look down on them. I look down on people who are stupid enough to believe all the bullshit that's been spoonfed to them by this administration ever since 9/11. I look down on people who choose not to see what they don't want to see, which is what everyone else in the entire world knows ... that this war had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction, or bringing freedom to the Iraqi people, or whatever the lie of the day might be today. I look down on people who don't think that the Bill of Rights is something to be cherished and protected. I look down on people who think that fundamentals of justice that have been in place since the 12th century can be tossed out the window on the whim of a president who couldn't speak a coherent sentence to save his life. I look down on people who claim to be "conservative" and still support a man who has driven us further into debt than all previous presidents combined. I look down on people who think that their invisible friend in heaven should have any say at all over what I or any other American should be permitted to say or do.
If that happens to encompass a good number of southern voters, so be it. I harbor no hard feelings towards anyone who doesn't fit the profile above.

well, i look down upon people who are so afraid to acknowledge the dangers of the real world...i look down upon people who are so obsessed with hating Bush, that they don't recognize that the central front in the war on terrorism IS Iraq today..i look down upon people who would rather lose, because it would prove Bush was wrong for going in the first place, instead of living in the moment, and doing what needs to be done. I also look down upon people who view death counts as a barometer of success rather than achieved goals.
i also look down upon people who put politics above reality.
seriously...has the bill of rights been violated? it hasn't. I look down upon utopian idiots who say that the other side is drilling for fear, while while at the same time they are doing the same thing. they are scaring people to believe that the bill of rights is being torn to shreds, without offering ANY evidence.
as far as your other stereotypical drivel, that there is some group of radical evangelicals in the south wanting to shove their religion onto you...seriously, who is drilling for fear?

Yes, there is a very large group of conservatives who would be more than happy to shove their religion down all our throats, provided the opportunity. They are the reason we had a week of congressional hearings over one women with a gelatinous brain. They are the reason that we don't fund research with the potential to cure dozens of deadly diseases, but we DO fund educational programs with an oh-so-sophisticated, not to mention oh-so-realistic, curriculum that can be summarized as "don't fuck." They are the reason it took three years longer than it should have for a perfectly safe and effective birth control pill to be approved for over-the-counter sale. I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you get the idea. These people are not a figment of my imagination, they are real, and they are out there mucking up my country.
As for the Bill of Rights, you don't have to read very far into it to find violations. How does "the right of the people peaceably to assemble" square with "free speech zones"? How about the Fourth Amendment, in light of warrantless wiretapping? Or the Sixth Amendment, in light of all the people sitting in jail right now, charges yet to be brought? Again, I could go on, but why bother. You apparently enjoy being lied to, who am I to spoil all your fun.

Please do go on...because I would like to understand HOW the NSA program violates the 4th Amendment...it doesn't. but continute to talk in vagaries.
one thing that i would like to call you out on .... is this blatent lie: "They are the reason that we don't fund research with the potential to cure dozens of deadly diseases"
that's a lie...i assume you are speaking of embryonic stem cell...and cloning. just to get the information out there, most republicans don't have a problem using embryonic stem cells that are out there, even though embryonic stem cells seem to be going no where. interestingly, liars like fox, like to insinuate that republicans are against all stem cell research, when in fact they support it. in any event, just because you don't believe in creating embryonic stem cells with the sole goal of destryoing them doesn't mean you want to block science from advancing cures. in fact, please, provide ANY shred of evidence to back up your assinine claim that embryonic stem cell research offers hope. please, do it.

Morgan Freeman/Clint Eastwood 08' for President!
"Make our day"
why do you think that?
he caused the death of many innocent Americans..
I was thinking that perhaps overpopulation is a key reason we just don't much value human life.. but thinking about Jackson - we surely didn't value it then....

might have something to do with the genocide of which he was such a staunch supporter...
