I have absolutely no guilt for being a white male.

    I didn't do anything wrong.

I never treated anyone wrong based on race, religion or gender.

I've never had any slaves and neither have anyone else in my family.

I've hired black people for jobs, because they were more qualified than the others.

I've hired white people, hispanics and asians because they more qualified than the others.

I fired black people, white people and hispanics because they were fucking up and not meeting the required standards for the job.
you see people of different color, race, religion etc different and you treat them different..and to think otherwise......

    have not a fkn clue....

no white man should feel guilty....agree that doesn't make sense...but to have no appreciation for how good you have it.....ignorance.

How good I have it? I live in a shit-hole apartment with two other people. I'm broke and struggling to balance work and my final couple semesters at college so I can go out into the job market and whore myself out for a few bucks so I can pay back my student loans. I don't see now being white relieves me of those issues. And I don't see now being of a different race would matter. I guess I am ignorant of what it's like to be a person of color. But then again, my ignorance doesn't give me license to call other people out when I don't know a damn thing about them. Black, white, whatever. I'd say that being born an American is the main reason for "how good (I) have it." I could live somewhere such as Iraq. Fuck it! Of all the stupid things I've done to feel guilty about, being born white -- something I didn't choose -- ranks very low on the list. Viva Whitey!!

You know, I basically agree with that.

Truth is we all have at least a little of it in us. It's our nature. Human nature.

But most of us don't nurture it, build it and act on it. Instead we think things out and realize the absurdity in it.

Let's face it, human beings discriminate on the bases of anything at all. The way people dress, the length, shortness and style of their hair, what bands people like, what sports teams other people like, what cars they drive..........what ever. I could on all day long on how people every day discriminate against others based on the dumbest ass shit. And it's not just white people doing it amongst themselves or to "minorities"; it is every race and gender on this planet that do it.

Equally absurd are those who rationalize this racist and discriminatory double-standard; as entitlement.

you just don't realize it.....yea you may be struggling..yea you may have problem finding an awesome job.....it would be 10 times worse if you were black.

I live the white collar world...and its called that not only because of the color of the shirts.

Stereo types are ingrained in our minds...and thus the black male has it much harder than a white male. Get some experience under your belt.....really think about it...and you'll snap.

Congratulations on pushing yourself through college....being sincere.

and I'm big time against entitlements......but in the spirit of this thread...I was just floored at all the negative comments..and the utter lack of understanding of how much better it is in this country as well as canada white males have it over black males...nothing more.

As liberal as I try to be...as just as I try to be....I know I still let human nature interfere...its a survival instinct.

    Peace my brother.

    I disagree, completley.

You are putting forth generalities that are grossly outdated.

Of course racism still exists, I'm not denying it does. But certainly not on the level your are portraying.

These days, black people have just as good a chance in getting a job (and many cases because of affirmative action) they get jobs based on racial quotas, not on qualifications for the position companies are hiring for. I've too often seen blacks, hispanics/latinos and others get jobs, that they are not at all qualified to do, just to meet a quota. That is the reality of today's world.

Of course there are exceptions in everything. But make no mistake about it, there are plenty of companies that are black owned or black managed that discriminate when hiring. They will not hire a white person. That's a fact.
