It's so damn hard to know for sure what information is correct, what isn't, so thanks for the input here, PJ_Soul. In any case, the bottom line for me is that a) GMO's are a bad idea. We don't know the long term affect of frankenfood production which is essentially a dire effort to prop up our over-inflated human population . I suppose if one really wants to live in an artificial world, all of this technology is great. Dinosaurs like me would prefer to have the option to live in a natural world with natural cycles. And b) Bee die off, is almost certainly related to human intervention in the natural cycle of things. But then honey bees are also not a part of the natural cycles in North America. They are an introduced species. We have changed the planet. That is why Bill McKibben renamed it "Eaarth". The more we change natural cycles, the more we change the planet. A very weird and strange experiment which very may well result in our own disappearance from the scene. I guess I really am a dinosaur. I will happily slide into the mud some day.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
