  • Sorry numbnuts, but I didn't say that. Black people have a culture that is not determined by their genetics. Nonetheless, it is passed on along cultural lines. It happens to be one that does not value education.

How many black people are in Canada? Wtf do you know about black people?

I probably have more black friends than you so quit your crap.

This thread has gotten quite messy, but I feel I need to stand up for my Canadian friend just a little.

There are quite a few Black people in Canada. And whether or not we are friends with them all has nothing to do with the fact that I know they are not all lazy and I know for sure that a lot of them are highly educated.

I really think this thread was started to make people laugh, but clearly it didn't work.

Why can't we just all come to the conclusion that there are stupid people everywhere and intelligent people everywhere? It doesn't always have to be a pissing contest about whose country is better, does it?

I knew you'd be up to the challenge!!! To be honest, I'm not really sure. I'm damn good at mathematics (esp differential equations & calculus) & chemistry. Although that's probably due to my top-notch southern-american education. ;) Let me think about what would be a fair and adequate challenge and I'll get back to you.

Well, I don't have much knowledge of computational mathematics, trigonometry or calculus, so you probably have me beat there. Then again, anything that requires spatial reasoning would put me at an advantage if you are a woman, since I'm a man. Anything requiring emotional intelligence would again give you an advantage over me. A test from Cisco or CompTIA would again put me at an advantage. So I don't think we are going to find a test that is going to give us an accurate measure of intelligence as opposed to knowledge.

Are you saying that you have recieved a "subpar" education in computational mathematics, trigonometry, and calculus?.....................Shame those Canadian schools.

I can't speak for the other Americans in this thread.

But this is one American who's getting a huge laugh out this for some of the reasons you mentioned and the fact that some of the things being said here, are coming from Ahnimus. His track record speakes for itself and he's certainly inserted foot and mouth, as well as talked out of both corners of his mouth.

    Funny stuff!

Ah, I personally kind of dig Ahnimus. I may not agree with him, but he definitely inspires interesting debate. I do not agree with his generalizations about Americans. Some of what he says is true for some, but certainly not all. His opinions do not define me, so I don't get too upset.

But, again, I agree, this thread is very humorous!!!

This whole thread is degrading, I feel some what responsible, but I think if it was more intelligent to begin with we'd all have more intelligent things to say.

I didn't receive any education on them. I picked up a book titled "Phsyics: For scientists and engineers" and had to sift through some papers on calculus and such to understand what I was reading, but I still don't have a solid understanding of the formulae in physics, just enough to understand the basic ideas.

My main strength is in my ability to pick-up and master anything in a short period of time.

I am the bomb at spatial relationships!!!!!! & analogies. I can 'hang' with any man in that area. Let me see what I can find. This will be fun. I'll probably be back around later tonight.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I don't dislike him. Hell, I don't even know the guy.

People's posts/ opinions can't encourage me to dislike someone.

    But he is funny.

Ultimately, I would certainly like to meet up with him one day and have a beer and a few laughs, together; when I take my next trip to the land of my Canadien brothers and sisters.

So you think that all Americans talk this way? Your argument isn't valid at all, and by saying that all Americans are stupid only shows your own ignorance. Let me ask you this, if we're so stupid then why are we the super power, why do we have all the $$, why are American colleges the source for the majority of scientific, social and medical studies through the world? Give me a fucking break...let me guess you're Canadian?

And I will say one more thing.....please don't tell me that you think America could be any of these things without the other? Without the money, which I don't deny The States has the most of, you might not be the source of a lot of scientific, social and medical studies. Without those continuing studies, you might not have the most money? Also, because you have the most money, it would be irresponsible to not be the major contributor to humanitarian aid.

No. Education goes right back to being a neonate. When you compare a neonate to a clinically stupid a.k.a mentally retarded adult, there are some striking similarities. I would argue that we were all stupid at one time. The brain develops through stimulation if the brain is not stimulated it fails to develop properly. So in that regard, intelligence depends entirely on education a.k.a stimulation.

Yea, all that stuff. I drink alcohol maybe a half-dozen times a year. So I could pound back a few beers, but I get loaded quickly. I mostly chug coffee, coke and water.

I wasn't talking specifically to CorporateWhore about that part. I was talking to everyone, including my fellow Canadian. I don't pretend Canada is better than the States. I may prefer it to any other country, but that has nothing to do with anything other than familiarity and lack of travelling. I just hope that we can all realize the same.

You are right, but how did we get so rich if we are all morons? If our educational system is as bad as some of the posters on this thread have suggested then how in the world did we ever become a super power? I'm not trying to say that we are better than anyone else...far from it actually! This country has its problems like everyone else, we are not perfect but we are certainly not stupid either!

But you can recieve that stimulation from places other than the educational system...............right! Isn't that exactly what you were talking about when mentioning picking up a book about physics? If you are not motivated to learn, you will not learn. If you are motivated to learn, you will learn............how does that have to do with the formal education that you have aquired through an educational system? Oh, and on a different subject, did you know that if the brain is overstimulated it also fails to develop properly......just interesting stuff (sorry, I get off on psychology and human development..............there in lays my career as well :) ).

Sure, that's all true, and I would love nothing more than to have to work half as much and be able to provide proper education for my children without them attending a public school. However, I realize that many parents would never take the time and would spend the money they save on taxes on alcohol or drugs. So for the greater good of all citizens, I prefer the education systems we have. Though I can see many ways they can be improved. Still, much of the first few years of life is the responsibility of the parents, if they leave their babies in a dark room all the time, they aren't going to be very good kindergarten students.

do you ever actually answer anybody's posts? All you do is talk in circles and fill the page with BS. Are you an attorney? If not then you should seriously consider a career change my friend!

Agreed. But America's CURRENT educational system doesn't have a whole lot to do with the fact that America is the richest country in the world. That does however have a lot to do with the exploitation and down-right bullying of other countries.

Let's not forget that America does not stand alone as a super power. There is a lot of help, none of which I am pretending is Canadian.

Regardless, this thread is yet another example of how things can so easily get out of hand. If it can get this out of hand on a personal level, it's not hard to imagine why things get so out of hand on a political level.

As a youth, which if I didn't share I wouldn't be at all accountable for. Most people advise me not to share my childhood crimes because clearly people will formulate opinions of me contrary to my actual character. Which appears to be what you are expressing right now. :(
