I don't know anything about US laws but at the heart of it, somebody said some terrible things on the internet. I hate to sound like I'm simplyfying it but surely that can't be a crime. It's despicable, especially considering the person had prior knowledge of the girls mental state. But illegal?

I just wish people would learn that saying terrible things has real consequences. Racial slurs and stuff are blown out of proportion, what really hurts people is the stuff like what was said to Megan.
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire
