    I wouldn't doubt something as ridiculously stupid as this actually happening, but I don't think it did. I closed it halfway through. internet drama is so shitty and annoying.

    yeah that story was competely fabricated, its extremely obvious, this is like something out of the onion..

    If this is a true story, I find it petty and sad that grown ups would pull a stunt like this. I also find it sad that the parents of the girl who died couldn't explain life a tad better to her so she realized there is more to life then what some two bit fuck on the net has to say.

    shit, couldn't they CHARGE the parents with a sex crime? they were impersonating a minor to solicit them into a romantic relationship. if dateline can nail predators this way and teachers get busted for it, why not these pieces of shit?

    yeah ... well, that's what i was saying ...

    i dunno ... definitely a fine line ... i think the thing for me is they KNEW she was troubled but they preyed on her and did this anyways ... not that ignorance is a viable excuse but it seems there was definitely a malicious intent ...

    perhaps they could get them on defamation. that they maliciously said untrue things to her with the intent of hurting her. that IS an actionable offense.

    The fact is that under this scenario, the ex-girlfriend's parents intentionally involved themselves to deliberately and with malice intentions inflict personal harm to Megan. Seems to me they are at least complicit in this girl's death. 1) they had prior knowledge of this girl's mental state with depression, they would know the right buttons to push to send her over the edge. 2) they deliberately and with malice intentions communicated with a minor to inflict personal mental pain and, 3) they maliciously stated a course of action for the ending of this harassment by saying the world would be a better place without her. I'd file a civil suit.

    The parents mentioned, on the Today Show this morning, that there is a civil suit pending.
