    hey all!

    amazing i won!
as i am hosting the event at my private residence, i prefer not to post my location on a public message board. :)

however, many of you in the NYC vicinity know me and/or have already been to my home...so do please request details in email or PM. if you are a long islander and would like to attend, do please feel free to PM. i am sure a NYC party or two must've gotten chosen as well if mine has so i am sure many would prefer the more public parties. however, if you want a low-key and local gathering do feel free to request info. my husband did suggest possibly having it a very closeby bar and showing on their big projection screen. if it is at all doable so short notice, that might happen and then i will happily post...but if it remains in my LR, definitely more low-key. :)

    as it is right now:
    time 7:30 PM
location my LR located in nassau county, LI
thinking a pizza and beer/wine affair...see how many want to join in will determine costs.....but should be fun either way!
will update if something bigger and public gets arranged.....and still would be walking distance from the LIRR, so easily accessible for locals and others alike.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

    Any Wisconsin parties picked?

I got picked to host. And the plan is to have it at the Rosebud Cinema and Draft house at approximately 9:15 (a bit late, but they are showing "W" beforehand). At any rate that means we'll have easy access to food and drinks which is always key to a good time. Unfortunately theatre cost is 200/hr so I'm probably going to have to "pass-the-hat" or something to help defray the cost, I don't mind putting up some of that but ~400$ is a little prohibitive for my budget.

    So details as of now...

    Rosebud Cinema and Drafthouse
    6823 W. North Ave
    Wauwatosa, WI.
    414.607.9446

Show time: 9:15 or thereabouts - as soon as previous movie files out, and they clean up the place a tad.

Any and ALL welcome. Suggested 5$ donation to help defray the cost unless I can find some other sort of sponsor. I'm also trying to work on having a representative or at least handouts, etc. from the campaigns there as well.

Anything else I should be thinking of? I'll try to get a facebook event thing going ASAP and maybe some other promotional stuff! I'm SO psyched!

W-O-W! Hoo-ray for you - Waco, Texas!! I would love to be there but gotta figure out what time I'd get back to Austin. Just a thought..... but you'd probably have more peeps if you had it on a Friday or Saturday nite. Waco is sorta out in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks Weenie, I am really excited, and surprised we won!!

Friday or Saturday would have been good, but the rules were that we have it the night before the election. So, we will hope for a good turnout and be thankful that we get to do it at all :)
