mastreful post. Even his dad looks like a friggin genius in comparison.

The good ole MT never changes... Bush has been president for 6 years and you still can't find any other topic to make senseless threads about. Its good to see someone actually tried to debate a topic in this one though.

I don't understand how that helps your arguement, I may even be confused now as to what your arguement is. when I get confused I go to THE DOCUMENT that thells us what our RIGHTS are. THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,...

I'm going to have to agree with the other poster (sorry, didn't catch the name) on this issue. This sentence means, in my opinion, that the government cannot make a law forcing everyone to follow a particular religion, i.e. the Church of England. That is why we left England in the first place right?

    38) You worship Baal
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

    absolutely positively WRONG.

In England the Catholic Church was the government.

the founding fathers thought government was best run without it's influences

these were deeply religious men, so you know it's a deliberate decision.

Some of you are so deeply conservative that you can even twist some of our greatest thinkers to fit your agendas.

(take off the words "some of" and I believe we have #40 on the list.)

    I’d thank my lucky stars,
    to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

post of the year! "HE PROTECTS THE RIGHTS OF HIS COUNTRY"
    wow, pure genius.

"THE WORLD IS A SAFER PLACE THAN IT WAS 5 YEARS AGO"
    again, sweet post.

i think i can do this...let me give it a shot...
"HE DOES NOT PLAY ON THE FEARS OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC IN ORDER TO GAIN MORE POWER"

how was that? not as good as yours, but it was the best i could come up with on short notice.
  • ALL policitans are jackasses or fat overweight and greedy, look at their political affiliation logo. Im neither are you? I want what's good for my country, I want people to be proud of America and all that WE stand for. Im tired of arguing with liberals and conservatives. Why does it matter if your gay? Why does it matter if you denounce god or embrace him or her? Why does it matter that I support the troops that defend our country and go into harms way becasue the people we elect tell them too. I love America and long for the day when the people with pride for this nation arent afraid to show it.

If you love America then you should see the absolute need for change, which unfortunately requires engaging in coversations you'd rather not have to have- simply because people are so incredibly daft and easily led by anyone who happens to have taken power.

Duh! So your telling me that when you engage in political conversations with someone on a different level you always come to an understanding ...come on! This is the real world this isnt some Hollwood movie as much as Im sure a lot of people wish it was. I guess you think I should be ashamed of this country rather than try to embrace it and all the good it stands for. ...But then again Im probably the commie. No one political party will win this war in the next election, people are too damn stubborn to admit their fault ....especially people in the media.
