Saddam was a brutal dictator, not a terrorist. Bin Laden is a terrorist.

......and now we've seen the reason why Sadaam HAD to be a brutal dictator. It's the only way to unify a country that has 3 disticntly different religious groups who all want to be in power. Democracy will never work there.

this country was seriously mislead into believing saddam was linked to 9/11. i was trying to imply that there are a lot of people who have been mislead and either don't know enough of the facts to become angry or just don't care. saddam was a brutal dictator. bin laden is a terrorist. saddam didn't mastermind 9/11. we got saddam, but not bin laden.

There's no point in forming an argument. This thread isn't interest in discussing, its just another way to bash Bush and Republicans.

yet you don't dispute or attempt to disprove any of the allogations in the initial post. I'm guessing you either don't dispute them or are putting together yet another hackneyed "Bush isn't perfect" thread.

they might be worded for comic effect, they have basis in fact.

either way, you don't seek to be on a higher level than your adversaries.

How can I defend that Bush is trying to destroy the world by fufilling the book of Revelations. I just saw one of the four horsemen right outside my office window.

How do you disprove allegations like that, and ones that claim Republicans hate gays, and that we're full of hate. They're just ridiculous. Your right some of them I don't dispute, because they're a joke.

Of the 20 listed so far, maybe one or two can actually be argued/discussed.

    13. You have no regard for the environment. I disagree. I would say that some regard for the environemnt was shown when he established our country's 75th national monument, the world's largest marine protected area. Are there issues with the environment, sure, has there been a total disregard for the environment under Bush? No.

Bush has admitted that he believes in the literal interpretation of the book of revelations and that he also believes in the holy rapture.

Not all that suprising, he is a Christian. Most of us do believe in revelations. His belief in Revelations and the claim that he is destroying the world through it seem more then a little off. Does that mean that every Christian is destroying the world because they believe in Revelations?

No. Because there are Christians and there are nutty fundamentalists like Bush who has the brain of a child, and who believes that the world can be expalined with terms such as good vs evil, the axis of evil, us vs the enemy e.t.c, e.t.c. Simply put, Bush is a giddy, weak-minded fruitcake. Why are you defending him?

What makes Bush a "nutty fundamentalist", just because he is in the public spotlight 24/7, and he isn't afraid to say he is a Christian, and that he views prayer as a powerful tool. It sounds to me that you are just taking jabs at Christians. Many Christians do believe there is a battle between good and evil, doesn't make us fruitcakes or nutty fundamentalists. I happen to think Bush isn't a "weak minded, giddy, fruitcake". Do I have issues with him in some areas, absolutely. Is he still my President, yes.

Get it straight, please. It's the Book of Revelation. Singular. No plural. "Revelations" was the short-lived tv series that aired a year or so ago. C'mon, if you're going to bash Christianity (or a President who is very public about his faith), then at least bash right.

theres a big difference between saying that youre a Christian and truly acting like one.

That is a great point. My guess is you're, correct me if I'm wrong, refering to Bush being a Christian, yet leading a war that is been very destructive, in almost every sense. I struggle with that notion myself. As a Christian who supports the war, is that really what a Christian would do? It's tough. I really do wonder what would Jesus do, when it comes to this war.

Can you find one single thing that Jesus ever said that would lead you to believe that he would support a war?

Can you find anything he ever said that would lead you toward the conclusion that he would never support a war?

I think you'll find your answer.

Jesus would have died to save the Iraqi people. Something George Dubya would never do. ;)
