    i dunno

maybe this will look better in person ?- perhaps not the greatest photo of this ?

dude, i knew i shouldn't have bought the euro sub. that poster sucks.

i think ames hired a bunch of 3rd graders to start doing their artwork. where the eff is the creativity?

Why is it that the euro sub has more then just the 4 countries listed in the sub? For instance the first poster is UK/Ireland then holland/belgium?

Slightly better pic of the Dublin poster, colours are more vivid in the flesh.

    thanks evilbob !

& were you at the gig ?

i noticed what seemed like a really short set ( when compared to the first 2 legs ) ...
i was thinking if i'd made a planetrip across the pond , i would have been real let down . And even with the better photo, the poster just seems lazy and resembles an impromtu thrown together improvisation of sorts.!

what happened to things like this :

    http://www.bigpopposters.com/getImg.asp?UID=71&Image=BigPicture

obviously the anti-war/ ( & sometimes anti-america ) theme is a measure of what todays society lives in and around, but it'd be a nice change to sway away from that stuff already. Its already "old" & "stale".

I was at the show and it blew me away. The set was relatively short compared to the first legs but I wouldnt change a thing.

Was dissapointed that we didnt get an individual Dublin poster. Im not a collector or connoisseur, the only other poster I have is from Dublin '96 which is far superior to this one. Its all about the memories for me though, it'll be framed and hung and I'll look at it and smile for years to come.

seems like ames is trying to cut down on using ink. a lot of blank spaces and white on their posters these days (ie: santa barbara).

thanks for the better pic evilbob.

yeah , we all lose sight of this concept sometimes. :D

initially,.. thats what lured me into the entire poster thing ( getting the posters for the shows i attended ) , but now, its just out of control and foolish ( $ )

hey not sure if you're a fan - but a great aide in getting over PJ withdrawls after awesome concerts , is The Boss . He's heading over your way in the next 2 months ( or so ) I suggest you run to one of these shows if you can get your hands on a ticket. Trust me, you'll be blown away all over again . Lots of info here: ( Belfast info : )

you will be a fan after this. !
even tho you will not be hearing born to run and rosalita, the big band sound with the horns is just awesome.
The horn guys are from Conan O' Briens show, ( Max Weinberg 7 ) most noticeably La Bamba and Pender. enjoy !

I got to disagree with the boss talk. He is right behind Pearl Jam for me but the new album is his worst and I hate the big band thing. I saw him on his solo Devils and Dust tour 8 times and that was great. I went to one of the seeger sessions shows and had no desire to go back. Bring on the E-street band!

Now now, let's not get sidetracked from the posters here.... :D

I think that UK poster may grow on me a bit. But you're absolutely right, it's all about having a way to remember the show(s). At least for me, anyway.

But what I really wanna know is, how did someone (I forget already, pjtaper was it?) get an Emek Santa Barbara. Maybe if we keep asking really nicely, he'll tell us.

I think this is one of their better ones for this tour. I'm hoping for better for the rest of the sub though.

Any word on which ones Klausen will be doing?

Anyone ever ship a poster to Germany from the US? What was the approx price through US Mail? Working on a trade, but have no idea what it would cost

In other news, the DC poster sold for $810 today. Unreal.

and ninersfan just happened to be the seller.

    unreal indeed.

i would bet my copy of that DC poster that he bids on his own stuff to keep jacking the price up. why else would the bidders ID be kept private?

Good observation. I didn't think Ninersfan could commit a more heinous crime, but I stand corrected. What a dickbag(s).

I agree with the previous statement. The only reason to keep the ID private is to have someone bid up your auction and inflate the price. His posters seem to consistently go for higher than what they're worth...

his claim is that he doesn't want people soliciting the bidders of his auction to sell posters to them. i've bought several posters from ebay and not once has someone "solicitated" me with an offer to sell me a poster.

    ninersfan(s) needs to go down.

the funnier or perhaps more ironic thing is.,,

these will likely go for 25-35 bucks unsigned/un-numbered on the 10C site. ( * again - eventually )- perhaps the auction/buyer didnt know this , and that is even sadder/

lets hope 10c comes through, but there are no guarantees. i still can't believe anyone paid $800 for that poster. its cool, but its not that cool.
