  • Has anyone here received the second wave of posters from Ames bros for the leg one presale?

Just curious, because I was out of town last week, and want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

    Thanks.

I dont think theyd do anything , but leave a little yellow slip notifying you of the parcel. You must sign for it > I havent received any seond tube yet, and now the Leg is over so it shouldnt be too much longer.

Least I hope not,......especially the limited to 1 test print . Gosh I hope mine is ER-NJ1 or Camden1 .

Yeah, I still need to dive into tube one anyway :~

However, my mail lady is pretty liberal, and left my first tube in my mailbox, without a signature--even though it had insurance. Just freaked me out that maybe I didn't have it, even though I had my mail held while I was gone.

Also, didn't they originally say 3 shipments? 5 at a time, plus the bonuses? I figured first 5 shows, second 5, then the remainder w/ the bonuses. Actually, I'll be pissed if they charged $70 shipping, and only spend $20, plus two PVC tubes.

Oh well--nice to have them, and not have to deal with them at shows.

    Some guy ?

Ward Sutton is the artist- and the piece is an original drawing in black ink- probably a prototype for the actual poster they used in Rome / 96 .

at least thats what the description states,.

plus, he offers to sign it or leave it unsigend.

    nice .

Yeah I knew Ward Sutton was the original artist... I guess I assumed he wasn't selling his work on ebay, and if so under a fairly new account as far as sales go. I thought it was a recreation of the original poster.

I was charge 100$ shipping because I live in Canada, but they didn't tell me that until they charge the card. Kind upset me that they will make 40$US on shipping after already spending all that money

yeah... what's this $70 shipping crap? or is "handling" also in there?

also... my first set came with one piece of brown paper... they couldn't spare 4 more so that the prints don't rub together?

I'll cut them some slack...I'm sure there is some "handling" involved in coordinating the same numbers of 100 to the same people. It's a hassle I'm sure, getting them all sorted and stuff.

Just was surprised when I got the tube, and my shipping was like $10.50.

Oh, and one piece of paper??? Need to open that first tube pronto.

    Hello ,
I can only give you the information I have. I didn't know the June 1 and 3 had been switched until I came into work on Friday. I had no idea. It is never my intention to steer you in the wrong direction. I don't know why the decision was made the way it was.
I know the first leg is over and you are still waiting for you next 2 tubes. I am awaiting the arrival of our copies of a few of the posters. I can't send you what I don't have. I am expecting some to arrive today and am hoping that we will be able to get you and everyone else that ordered sets the next two tubes in the next two weeks. I'm not making that a promise.

    who knows

maybe someone else can e-mail ( @ info@bigpopposters.com ) them and ask about please using 1 sheet craft paper to each poster ? Thats a superb idea but this lady hates me already .

So I searched for an update, and couldn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been asked recently. I thought someone recently mentioned that Klausen was going to be setting up a site to sell his posters for this tour. I've been trying to watch around here for updates, because I don't have access to blackredyellow (blocked at work, no computer at home right now). Anyone around here have some info on that? Much appreciated.

I believe Bathgate posted an email that Brad sent him, saying that there will be a site up sometime over the next few weeks.

Yeah, don't think anyone knows more than that, aside from probably Brad himself.

Hasn't been much mention of it over on BRY either.

I doubt we'll get them to change the way they've been doing things. All the 2005 Canadian subs only had 1 piece of craft paper/tube.

Thanks for getting the update again Bath.
