The pinholes dont matter in a poster if your going to frame it. The mat covers all of that. Edge damage and tape marks on the back dont either. You just dont want the design to have scuffs.

I should have bought two when Ames was selling them for $65 each a few years back.

Yes I am so pumped but I missed them when they were $100 each. Its really no big deal though I just passed on every 98 including hartford and Boston! ALso I think that if you can get that hartford for under 800 you should be happy. THat one will never go down. The design is too awesome and there are not that many near mint copies around! And the ones that are....are probably on a wall and going no where!

    a crease- i dont know

    but a scuff mark-

i had one on a previus poster ( may have also been my bostonb whale- dont remember ) but anyway- i used one of those dry cloths " Grab It " ( made by pledge ) dusting cloth-

it lifted the scuff mark / blemish right off the poster !

    best of luck

Nice, and congrats on the anniversary. Good to see that a wife will stick through multiple poster subscription purchases that turn out almost fruitless. My own gf is currently passing this test with flying colors. Yours sounds like a keeper.

How'd others do that were pining for the dragons? Saw a lot of regulars posting their excitement for it yesterday.

not a crease in the bending sense... although i guess that's the only sense

when i hear scuff is sounds small.. like it was scuffed...

but this focker is is about the width of the damn whale

wicked friggin big scuff i guess you would call it ;)

it was stupid- crazy on the site tho- i went back after my transaction- all of 2 minutes- then it was reading " Out Of Stock "

that may have been the quickest sell out yet.

For those that have framed with americanframe.com before, quick question. Because I'm using multiple mats, it tells me to stick with one type, so the core color will match. Do you recommend using white core for white-paper posters, and black core for black-paper posters? More specifically, should I order black core colors for my Toronto 2 print? I figure its all personal taste, but I'm wondering how much of a difference a white core would make as opposed to a black core with this print based on your experiences with the site. Thanks.

I think it's mostly personal taste. I've used black mats with white core:

    and black core:

I like the way each turned out. There is some white in that Toronto poster, so you probably could use a white core mat, or incorporate a white as a bottom mat. Otherwise you'd probably want to stick with the black core.

i thought the core was the color that was shown after the matte was cut or in the inside color of each matte.

Cool to see caringfan.org has some of their prints as s/n editions now, including the North America Leg 1 print that a lot of people were looking for.

Thanks for the info on the Emek poster guys. Been craving that one since the show. Unfortunately, I was lucky enough to see Emek's poster before the Santa bArbara show, got all excited because I was flying down from Seattle, got in early, got in line, and saw a big, white, 90% blank piece of paper. So I had to settle on the un-written version. But I still love it!

Thank you very much for your $100 donation to Rock the Earth today. Given the unprecedented demand for Emek’s Unnatural Resources since the release of the Pearl Jam poster, we have had to take the Emek poster off our website. You, however, got in under the bell and will receive your poster. However, given this unexpected demand, shipping will be delayed 6-8 weeks

    Lou, re: removing scuffs.

mixture of 10% bleach, 90% grain alcohol, 2 tablespoons of seasalts, and a pig's foot. let poster sit for 13 minutes. if there is still a scuff, rinse and repeat.

missed out on toronto. 2nd in a row where i got stuck on "Buy" and could get no further. started out strong, now sputtering. i'm in alabama for a little car race, so hopefully gorge doesn't pop up this weekend. i doubt it, seeing the other weekend pauses.
