was just going thru a pile of poster tubes i have in my closet.
evidently , i have way too many of these lying around- i need to do some winter-cleaning !
looking at each tube sent from bigpoppa, they have both delivery confirmation as well as insured mail barcode labels .

my mailcarrier even questioned me each time they were delivered,..., why do they have , and pay for both ?

totally unnecessary , wasting extra $ , and the sad thing is we are charged for it .

oh well.

Bath,
It's not the same thing. Even if you get insurance, for some reason, there is no way to type in the insurance code and get confirmation of delivery. Signing for it doesn't count the same as the carrier scanning in a delivery, apparently.

i'll have to tell that to my mail carrier- a veteran of 20 something years .

• I kinda like this Klausen one, but I think I'll have to resist buying it.

So for those that have gotten subs before from Ames, how long does it usually take to ship? (I've asked before, but I don't think anyone has responded yet)

• Just got mine (briefly mine) too. I checked EB but the dimensions aren't listed there. do you think that tube needs to be registered as a weapon???

Colors are sweet, wish they did something different with the font. To each his own, right?

true

the font lettering is kinda whack,
and the colors remind me of the 70s -
like the brady bunch family room.

Another thing: I wish Klausen would include information about the venue and time in his posters, makign them more like real gig posters than concert keepsakes.

I don't think the time of the show has ever been put ames or Klausen's posters. I recall Brad saying that he puts the city info on, not the venue info because he finds the corporate names of most venues distasteful.

im not certain about this, but i think there was something with this with the MSG poster from 2003.

aside from all the corruption at the concession stands at MSG- there was some chatter about the words " Madison Square Garden " on the poster- adn some kind of union laws / regulations ?

I agree with bicyclejoe in that maybe at the very least the city, if not the venue , could be highlighted more, and again, only in certain instances.

• I love the fact it looks so 70s. Kind of reminds me of the Endless Summer themed 98 San Diego...but maybe that is early 80s. The font could be better, but this is probably my favorite poster ever. Of course...I've yet to see it in person.

Thanks Lamperti!!!
• NO POSTERS WILL BE SOLD FRI 9/29/06, SAT 9/30/06 or SUN 10/01/06.
Have a great weekend.
slh

I was looking forward to a big sale on Friday night, one of the more sought after posters... guess there's always Monday.

Reminds me of the old Padres uniforms.
I also read somewhere that Louisville Slugger designed the tube.

I have a Chicago 1 on the way, and I know there's no way in hell anybody would trade a Boston 1 (whale) for it, but how about a Boston 2?

best of luck with that one.

that boston 2 is likely the most hideous one of the first Leg , without question. And we thought the San Fran poster would be sticking around long on the 10C site,...wait till this one goes up .

i like the premise of the future riding on the back of the past , but the colors and lettering are just godawful !

but out of stock... and yes I know it's a dolly song

Even though this site says it is out of stock, the system let me go through with the purchase and I received a letter last week from them confirming the purchase and thanking me for the "donation". I just got an e-mail from them saying that the poster has shipped! Maybe they had some left-overs from the shows they were selling the posters at? I don't know, but I can't wait to see it in person! Also, from the caringfan.org website it looks like my Santa Barbara CCFA poster was shipped yesterday. Can't wait to see that one too!

it won't let me enter a payment method...
• Anyone not wanting their Ames SB 06 from the sub? S/N only. I've already traded my copy, but have someone else I'm trying to do a deal with for a kick ass poster.

PM me if you would consider parting w/ or trading yours.

Thanks.
