lol Inspectors were only allowed to enter where Saddam allowed them to. It was like a high school play for an entire decade. You're joking right?

Ok, you weren't alive during the '90s were you? It's not possible. This was the prevailing argument as to why the inspections never worked. It's why no one ever understood a word that came out of Hans Blix's mouth.

I don't hate you... I find the way you keep bringing me up to be quite flattering. I replied to you in the Iraq War Vet thread and ever since you've flipped out playing the part of some drama queen victim and acting as if I have it out for you...get over yourself. Just reply to posts if you feel the need and don't worry about me personally...I'll be sure to return the favor.

    You're right. Thanks.

Don't think I haven't learned by now not to argue with women. That's what I've been doing and it's gotten me nowhere.

    So thanks again!

I wonder how many times you'll need to ask this question before someone will finally concede that it is unanswerable.

But I've already said numerous times that the reason govt programs are so inept is because the people in government are vested in protecting these private interests with all the power and money over protecting the people they are supposed to be serving. How can there be any efficient programs if they're ran by corrupt individuals? It's not possible. If they put the amount of effort into working for the citizenry that they put into appeasing their corporate 'sponsors' things would be running much better. It doesn't mean that these programs couldn't be much more effective given proper management by people who will serve the public's needs first and foremost. Things will never be efficient as long as we continue to allow big business to buy our government out from under us and then we as voters and citizens don't hold these corrupt individuals accountable. It's getting bad...health insurance is a fucking joke and it's only getting worse every year. People are getting sick of it fast...when enough people have finally had enough of this...things will change.

    Kucinich's plan is awesome!! :D

or those "non-critical" hip replacments, or organ transplants..

Haha. I hate to break it to you, but if Canadians are going to the states for hip replacements and organ transplants, our health care system is covering the cost. They will pay for your travel, accomodations and surgery. You see, because everyone has access to all of the same care here, sometimes our hospitals can't handle the load so they send their patients to places where money comes first and people come 10th because there are no lines.

You all have no respect for anything. The movie isn't even out yet and you all think that because you exist that you deserve to watch for free and distribute it. Self-entitled bitches.

To clarify for the irony catchers, my board name represents the official bootlegs, nothing illegal.

Why don't you pay $8 like a decent human being? Is that too difficult? Can you afford that while you are sitting in your parents basements burning stuff off of the internet?

Moore said he doesn't mind the piracy as long as people aren't selling it. He's glad for the interest people are showing. Sound familiar?

Our system is broken. And it's just getting worse. The system outlaws people from providing private healthcare and then the same system depends on private healthcare practioners to provide service levels that the system cannot. The epitome of a government program, it's been run into the ground and now depends in private companies to maintain it's viability.

Actually, the movie is about the solution... Most of the movie is about him going to other countries and seeing what they have done right... but really it gives an good overall education on what our health care system really is... Very little is about how bad our health care is.

thanks...i will prob see it; and download it as long as MM doesn't really care. I can't think of anything better...I can watch a movie and yet not give him any money :)

If you're going to download the movie exercise a little caution. Moore seems to be very cool about it, as Gue said. Unfortunately, Harvey Weinstein and the producers & distributors of the film are less enthusiastic and are actively going after people who are illegally sharing it.

Here's what Moore says on the issue:
"I think the music industry's response to Napster was misguided ... and for me, it's about getting people to see the movie and that's what I want, so they will talk about it," Moore recently told Brandweek magazine. "I would never want to prosecute anybody who would download (his film)."

    But here's what's going on:
A Weinstein Co. source said that the company has hired several firms that specialize in dealing with piracy and is taking "a very aggressive approach to protecting the film."

"Every DVD screener that comes from the Weinstein Co. is watermarked and traceable," Weinstein Co. general counsel Peter Hurwitz said. "We are actively investigating who illegally uploaded 'Sicko' to the Internet, and we will take appropriate action against that person(s)."

One source close to the situation said that anti-piracy firms were flooding the Internet with false versions of the film, much as the record industry has with songs.

"We are actively investigating those who illegally uploaded 'Sicko' to the Internet, and we will take the strongest possible legal action," Hurwitz said. The company declined comment about whether it will seek legal action against YouTube for allowing the uploads.

Moore knows he'll never need to take legal action because he's in a partnership with people who will.

Moore has scored again as long as the goal is to be hypocritical. I'll give him that.

I pay $500 per month for my wife and two children. Although it eats up a chunk of change, we can't go without it. Well, I suppose we could but that is a huge risk. All in all with ear surgeries, adnoids, tonsils, flu's, etc.....we are probably about even with our HMO. This may not be the norm but I have a hard time bitching about it.

the taxpayers support the government so if you want socialized medicine dig deep in your pockets so you can support not only your own healthcare but the healthcare for all the layabouts that don't pay taxes.

My pocket gets hit hard enough supporting welfare and all other social programs and taxes. Socialized medicine sounds great in theory, but the reality is another story. I have not heard or seen a policy that would GREATLY improve the healthcare situation in the US.

    i strongly disagree...i

but 'll be persuaded if you can point to an efficient government program.

The French and Canadian systems are both better than ours... You can choose to listen to lobbyist's propaganda about this, or compare the facts and talk to people who have experience both systems... i.e. An American who moved to either Canada or France...

Just two simple examples of a system that works so much better than ours...

i agree with you. countries like canada and france don't have the layabouts that the us has. they don't have the flood of immigration and refugees taxing their social services.
the americans that want socialized medicine are those who pay for healthcare. most of the others are receiving medicaid or other state services. if they get what they ask for they must be prepared to pay for those who don't want to work.

Canada has a higher per capita immigration rate than the United States, and much of europe is comparable. France has a higher unemployment rate than the United States.
