how can an AMERICAN president's name be HUSSEIN-OBAMA? wtf.
I just don't see it happening.
LOL. I think I posted that already. One letter away from Hussein Osama...Muslims would have a fucking field day with this shit if he won

    Our greatest president ever.
Hands down...They dont make them like that anymore...Lincoln and Roosevelt are 1 and 2.

People named Roosevelt certainly do make outstanding presidents! I don't agree with everything either of them did (I'm sure it's impossible to find a public figure that you agree with on everything), but they both definitely had an overall positive effect on the country, and left it better than they found it. It's been a depressingly long time since we had a president I could say that about. Kennedy might have done it with more time, but we'll never know. There hasn't been one in my lifetime.

Sucks doesn't it? Ive worked on quite a number of campaigns for people that had vision and the opportunity for greatness. But America these days is more about mediocrity. That's part of the reason Im not getting my panties in a bunch over this Obama guy. From my experience, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Dig in and prepare for President McCain or President Edwards. Because this country just does not have vision anymore...

Yeah, and his brothers lone killer was Lee Harvey Oswald. Both of these great men were killed for one reason -- they were both for peace.
  • I provided a thorough analysis of Obama and his electability without having to use someone else's website to do it. Scroll up. You might learn something.

Thorough? You provided almost NO analysis of Obama. You provided your analysis of the current political climate. It's wartime? Thanks for newsflash. You made that point in order to highlight the fact that people would be too "scared" to vote for someone who was as inexperienced as Obama. I see the wartime problem differently than you do, obviously. The only reason it's "wartime" in Iraq is because the current administration chose to take us into an ill-advised and ill-planned war under what turned out to be false pretenses. Senator Obama has proposed legislation in the Senate that would get our troops out by March of next year, a sentiment that about 70% of the country agrees with.

The situation in Iraq has steadily deteriorated since the summer and fall of 2004, and the President insisted on blindly clinging to his "stay the course" tact the entire time he was on the campaign trail. He finally miraculously realized that Iraq was fucked up a few weeks after his party lost control of the House and the Senate. People are tired of President Bush's war, and many would welcome leadership coming from a different perspective.

You also gave an analysis of Jim Webb, but again, no real thoughtful analysis of Obama. You seem to have some aversion to using "some guy's website" to gather facts about Senator Obama's record. I'm not talking about MoveOn.org or NewsMax.com. I'm talking about nonpartisan watchdog sites. Governmental sites. If you chose to, you could take these facts and make your own judgement of him based off the information you gathered, but you'd rather be childish and pissy.

No analysis is possible because the man HAS NO RECORD. Go ahead and waste your vote on the guy. You probably were one of the knucleheads who wasted their vote on Nader too. Oh yeah, wasn't he a Pearl Jam darling as well. Nice work there...

I'm pretty sure if you look around you will see that he does have a record, you are just choosing not to look for it. The man spent years in the Illinois Senate, and has been in the US Senate for 2 years. There is a record, you're jst too lazy to look for it.

I too want a president who stands by his beliefs. But I also want a president who believes in something other than enriching a miniscule percentage of the population at the expense of the country's well-being.
