    Come on now, you're being picky. They may not be the ruling party but the influence they have in Afghanistan cant be denied.

    as long as there are extremists views like theirs, there will always be an influence. im more concerned about there ability to rule a country and give a safe haven for el queda.

    Of course the influence still exists , they were afterall the ruling party for quite some time. That being said, the responses were to the genius who stated that they are more powerful than ever - which is ridiculous
