Life is not measured by the number
of breaths we take, but by the number
of moments that take our breath away...

    Wish you were here...

in florida a key is turning
    no one listens
in florida the sand is being stolen
    no one listens
the winds are building up in florida
    no one listens

the crocodiles are covered in water in florida

    tick, tick, tick
    the blood is being sucked
    from the clock

    time cares not
    for florida
    will sink, bones and all
    closets, homes
    palms
    hands clasped in prayer
will make no difference in florida

where people are cold no matter the weather
I knew it all along, see?

Florida is starting to get hot again. It's that time of year.

We had a tornado watch in Tampa today and a huge thunder and lightning storm too. :geek:

Some mornings I find my toes tapping to the same song that's been continuously running through my head from the night before.

I think the radio must still be on somewhere inside there!!

    with no lights

bright asphalt, all i remember yellow
    and white lines

    dark horse i could
    not see though
    i heard the clicks
    getting closer

though i never gave her a chance to pull the trigger

I can't help about the shape I'm in
    I can't sing
    I ain't pretty
    and my legs are thin.

but don't ask me what I think about you
cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

    Ohhh well.

HalfFull your post reminded me of this song by FleetWood Mac.

    saying goodbye

    being blue
    veins and arteries
the streets we grew up on

because the ink i used to write your name
was not blue like the stuff pumping through your veins
    or black like what runs
    through mine

Did anyone see the beautiful S Florida moon last night?

    On certain nights
    When the angles are right
And the moon is a slender crescent

    Its circle shows
    In a ghostly glow
    Of earthly luminescence

    Earthshine
    A beacon in the night
I can raise my eyes to
    Earthshine
    Earthshine
    A jewel out of reach
Form a dream to rise to
    Earthshine
