    I'm just gonna try to be a good person
    you know, like a wife and a mom, and a teacher that cares
    like I do

    yeah,
    these kids,
    eighteen and not mine,
    these kids,
    thirteen and eighteen and there's one (!)
    that dear 18 year old that IS mine
    mine and his dad's
    I'm gonna be their ignored cushion against the world,
    you know?
    a protection against the harshness!
    a smile when they need it
    that's something I'll do
    (I do it now)
    so I'll probably do it it tomorrow too
    when they're on vacation and they forget
    they forget about school as soon as they...
    as soon as they get a few days off!
    (I'm sure I would too)
