    Go Cubbies!

Thanks. I always thought the cubs referred to with eddie was something to do with kids, like a kids baseball team. I was probably thinking of boy scout cubs or something!

At the request of Ernie Banks, Eddie threw together a song for the Cubs ("All the Way"). He got a pretty good live version of it at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago this August. It's now being played on Chicago radio and at the Bleacher Bars around Wrigleyville. We have decided to make the song available for download - you can get it here in the next few days. There's a chance we'll also make available some hard copy CDs and we're looking into souvenir 45 singles, as well. Check back here for the latest.
    Go, Cubs, go!

  • I heard it on the radio today. It's not the Vic version. I have the Vic version and in that one he stops playing in the middle. This must be from one of the Auditorium theatre shows. I hope they have the story he told prior to the song on the single- it was great.
There's a request- "C'mon, just sing." If you say please, maybe. You make me feel cheap.

crap song for a crap team that will get swept again in the first round

here is to 101 years of losing
  • Go CARDS!
I second that! The only good thing about the Cubs clinching the NLC is the possibility of Ed singing the national anthem or doing the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley.

    101 yrs............................................
I wish I were the verb "to trust" and never let you down
  • Needed to pick out a song for the piss break in Chicago. The Cubs song was perfect timing! Just like a seventh inning stretch! Would love to see the Cubs in the series. Go Cubbies Go
So, What you Giving ?........ (Thanks Speedy, Alesek, & Arq+friends)

    Can't wait to hear it!
  • I'm enjoying a glass of Choke, the official Soft Drink of the Cubs.

    GO GO WHITE SOX!
  • Well, I just got back in NW Indiana to visit the parents, and I turn the radio on and they are talking Eddie Vedder on 93.1 XRT. They spent about 5 minutes talking about how good it was, how many calls they got, etc.... Then they played it and I gotta say the quality was awesome, and you could actually understand all of the lyrics. Great song.

Sucks to be a hater like the fools in this thread.

Cubs fans = root for their team

Cards/Sox fans = root against the Cubs out of jealousy (sad)

We need official bootlegs because the quality is so much better than these "boots" that have been circulating.

The Cubs could choke for the next 100 years and they'd still be able to fill the ballpark on a nice, sunny May day, while US Cellular is lucky to get 60% of the stadium fool. Sox fans are haters. I feel sorry for you that your team is below the Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks.

I don't meet too many Cubs fans who dwell on the Sox like Sox fans dwell on the Cubs.
