    death cab for cutie

I love me some Death Cab but they bored the pants off of me in Boston. While they are one of my favorite bands that ever opened for PJ I still don't think they were that good in such a big space.

Still holding out hope for Gomez

Just PJ, I've seen a few great ones:

    Mudhoney
    Brad
    Sonic Youth
    MMJ
    Ben Harper

And lots of other ok ones, plus a few duds (Steve Earle bored the heck out of me)

I´ve just seen Mudhoney opening for PJ. Great.

In case of others bands, i loved Velvet Revolver opening to Aerosmith.

Ben Harper was good, and MMJ really surprised me. I enjoyed them quite a bit.

"I need a fucking cigarette" as he swigs Jagermeister and eddie comes running out with a ciggy and a lighter.

I tried so hard to block Robert Pollard from my permanent memory, thanks for bringing it back up! He wins the prize for the worst opener EVER!!! He needed more than a fucking cigarette.

Not sure if this count, but in Pittsburgh 2000, some members of Sonic Youth had an emergency to tend to, so the preset was Ed. He sang and played a small set, invited the remaining members of SY to jam as well.

What are the chances Ed will do a small preset on this current tour where he plays a few songs from ITW?
