I recall it was just before dinner here and I knew it would be up for sale at some point, but I didn't know exactly when. I didn't even calculate the time difference I just thought, I'll check the website. I couldn't believe it was there and that I had succesfully bought one and so easy too!

The next day there was mayhem!

if only we got lucky with those offer's by our credit cards dealers. remembered those special tv ad's. "be that lucky credit card holder debt free today." you can win. each day a cc member will have his/her card with a zero balance. who are these winners? people who have bought like a hubba bubba gum & coffee on cc with a balance of 2 bucks .. that's it? never heard of any body over a grand get an offer like this before.

wow that really was sweet, but didnt Brad use to do his sales very randomly, like in the middle of the night - so it was pot luck??

Probably why his server could hold up!!

I think that someone was intentionally upping the bids to raise the price

over $800 and reserve still not met?
    thats fishy

I love my Benny and it is meant to be played
my only bummer is that one of the spines (???) on one of the records was broken when I got it.

I was in china when the sale went down, and I too was up at a crazy hour trying to get it with the slow ass PRC servers

that would be totally depressing to have to sell it. but then again it would be totally depressing AND heartwrenching to see your family go without.

I opened mine. I open all my stuff. occassionally I buy a 2nd copy for either keepsake or cause I wear them out.

I could not imagine selling any of my PJ stuff. I think about it when I see an ebay item like that for $850, but I know how sad I'd be once it's gone and I could not get another. I tried to add up what i've spent since 1992, it's probably around $2000 on tenclub stuff, tickets, etc. But to me it's priceless.
