Oh Elmo .. when Ed came over to the side of the stage and smiled and waved at us at the Gold Coast Big Day Out. I just stared at him and wasn't sure whether to smile or wave or anything so did nothing. I felt really bad about it later. I have fourth row seats for Brisbane's Tuesday night show and think that if Ed even looks in my direction I'll be so embarrassed I'll just feel like disappearing under my seat. I guess it's a bit like when you were at school and had your first crush on a boy and if they paid you any attention you were frozen to the spot unable to speak, smile or do anything.

Just realised I never replied to this EK! That's exactly what its like! But worse! Because they're not just the gorgeous boy at school, but a complete stranger you've spent most of your life obsessing over. I STILL can't believe I didn't prepare anything to say or bring a note or something. Jesus Christ. My friends were like 'I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING, WHEN WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU'D SAY FOR TWENTY YEARS. YOU'RE A COMPLETE WEIRDO!' Sounds like your Brissy show was awesome though EK, lucky thing.
I think I caught Ed's eye a few times from my 4th row seat at the Brisbane 25/2 show. Ed told some stories that night and I laughed at some of them and I think he saw me laughing and smiled back. He grabbed a ukulele and gave it to a guy two rows in front of me (not sure why) but as he was reaching down I reached out for it and I am convinced he was looking at me while he was doing it. Of course it could all be a figment of my imagination but it felt like Ed and I were having a one on one conversation that night .. hee hee. Anyway, it was great to be so close. Front rail at the Gold Coast BDO and 4th row seats at EV Brisbane solo show .. I've been really lucky this tour.
Oh and btw congratulations on the birth of your baby and I'm sure we'll see you back on here soon!

We'll miss you here Elmo! 6 months certainly is a long time to have a PJ break. You should ask your hubby to try and give up something else at the same time as you. If he cracks, then you can go back to your PJ obsession .

Glen's concert was great, I really enjoyed it .I'm even eyeing off a ticket for sale online for the Thursday show if the price stays low for another 10 mins .
Here's a pic I took of Glen...I was in the 2nd row at the aisle and kept on thinking how amazing it would have been to be in that seat for Eddie's concert there instead of further back next to a puker!
Glen mentioned Eddie briefly and how Ed had given him a ukulele, and the guy sitting next to me said "who?". #-o

Elmo, if you read this I just wanted to give you a virtual hug if that doesn't sound too weird. I feel like I know exactly where you are right now bc I've been there too. It's so tough to find the balance and then figure out how to stay there when everything in your life is pulling at you and you just want to run the other way. Oh, poor Elmo. I don't know how I would survive without my daily PJ fix. But I better be careful and not overdo it. Already heard my hubby telling his buddy that he doesn't get my PJ obsession. Well, (sigh...) at least he tolerates it for now. :-<
Elmo, will miss you! However, since the board changes, I am taking breaks now and then myself. I know I'd have trouble with taking a six month break though.
