and probably 300 other shows would have to look at all my stubs to really see what other bands i have almost all my stubs dating back to 77" ....
So true, I love looking back at my custom grateful dead and phish tickets, AND being able to party wherever and not have to worry about picking my tickets up at a certain time, it sounds like I'm bitching, I'm not~Things were just different!
Pearl Jam did this through the '96 tour. I still have my custom Jack Irons ticket with my name printed on it from that year (all mailed out). Wish they still did it but for one reason or another they seem to be happy with the new procedure.

"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)
Have seen many shows since 74, but as far as repeats over 5x: The Dead/Garcia 200+ (full tour 78 and at least 5 shows a year before/after). Zappa - 12. Bowie - 17. C,S,N & Y in various combinations - 23. Tom Petty - 9. Ramones - 15. Clapton - 6. Green Day - 5. I too am a concert junkie though not so much anymore with the cost. Most of the shows I saw were 10 bucks or less. GD tickets in the mail were a trip. Thx for that memory.

my tops are (don't laugh at me please):
Ani Difranco - 16x
DMB - about 10x
(all the DMB hate makes me sad - so many people hate them just because of the typical-dmb-fans, or because they dislike Dave Matthew himself - so unfair - the band is an amazing group of musicians - and they put on great shows)
radiohead - 6 times
smashing pumpkins - 4 times
dionysos (french band) - 5 times

"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."
This thread is making me insanely jealous. If I ever lose my job, I may just go crazy and follow a bunch of bands around, but the problem is that most of the bands I would want to follow aren't around anymore...GD, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc.
I've seen PJ 5 times which tops my list. I'm quickly becoming obsessed with MMJ though after seeing them for the first time at Bonnaroo this year. I'm seeing them twice more next month in Nashville and Louisville.
If nothing is everything
If nothing is everything, I'll have it all
The only band I've seen live is Pearl Jam, my mind hasn't been corrupted yet -- I'm only 21...
Don't be sad. Many of us started going to shows at 14 when the world and music was a different place also cheaper. These days tix cost at least 10x as much. IMO seeing PJ 5x is impressive for someone your age and where you live. Keep on enjoying these always great shows and experiences.
